Bah! Boo! I like Lang Ping ans Zhu Ting, though, so congrats to them. The others, they're shrieking annoys me. But what can I say? I saw it coming. China has a great coach and Serbia's game can be one-dimensional. Maja Ognjenovic got hurt twice, but she sucked it up. Impressive lady. This Olympic cycle has been fascintating in that I've read about so much hating and put-downs against players, coaches and entire teams. But the medalists and Holland all showed there's so much the spectator's mind doesn't understand and the teams know themselves better than anyone else. Russia is a disappointment for me, but again I saw it coming. I hope Kosheleva and Goncharova stay. Speaking of Kosheleva, did any of you guys see her what-the-devil-are-you-doing stare at Coach Marichev in the dying minutes of their quarters match when Goncharova and Pankova were subbed out? It was so funny, but, wow, what a powerful "statement." The men's bronze medal match is tonight at 8:15, Philippine standard time. See you then.

Yeah. China just got the better off Serbia a run for their money. Going to the Finals match as the favorites, they did not live to the high expectations of their supporters but instead found themselves in a disadvantage against the strong Chinese team. Happy for Hui Ruoqi cause this game and the gold medal was somehow a redemption for her. I thought she'll be cut off from the final line up since there are more young, healthy and athletic players than her but she was given the chance to represent the country and in the crucial parts of the tournaments, she delivered the goods.

so with this win, China will be FIVB world number one in the next release of the Senior Women World Ranking. USA will drop to second, Serbia will occupy the third place, Brazil will be fourth and Russia is fifth.

How about The Netherlands? No doubt, CHINA is the number one volleyball team today. Juiceko, nesekenele ne eng lehet - height, skills, at investment (young generation).

Your thoughts about Japan pala? And Alekno too? USA pulled a Russia on him sa bronze medal match.

I'm not sure, but I saw this in all the four consecutive serves of Mauricio Souza: Simone Buti, the front court MB, was receiving along with the two OH's. The libero, Colaci, was positioned deeper just behind Buti.

I saw a service foot fault by Lucão in the third set and the line judge saw it too. The first red and Italians didn't though. LOL

Sad day for Russian men as they were poised to win it but USA got the needed push to extend it to fifth and win the Bronze medal match. Kudos to USA for fighting all their hearts out. Alenko is a good tactician pero siguro naubusan lang sila ng steam after two sets.
For Netherlands, they climbed to rank 6 from 11. Excited to see them sa 2020 Tokyo. Sana makapasok sila sa qualifying tournaments. Japan has a good roster at sana talaga may Takenutsa-like setter silang makita.
Same story for both Women's and Men's.
Congrats BRAZIL! Won for the home and the women's side.

Oo nga no? Rank 4 dapat sa QF.
I'm worried about Japan because they're lineup has shrunk. Their coach is also very stubborn about their tactics too.
Alekno's roster, I think, is mentally unstable. One of the surprises for me, meantime, was Volvich. I think he let his game do the talking, and he did well. I wonder if Alekno will stay as coach.
Reid Priddy was playing the game of his life. Unbelievable spiking! Sander was made to look like he was being schooled, gayong siya 'yung dapat na malakas (his offensive game seems to have dipped in general anwyay).
Rebuilding na siguro ang Brazil sa men's at women's, though mas matinding paghahanap ng bagong members siguro ang kailangan sa women's.

Yes.

Brazil needs to find some tall OHs. Grabe Serbia and China match, average of 6-3, 6-4 attackers nila. Sobrang sarap panoorin mga attacks ni Zhu Ting na over the block ni Boskovic and Rasic, and Boskovic against Zhu Ting/Hui and Yuan Xinyue. Daming crucial blocks ni Hui against Boskovic.
Even USA nag iinvest talaga sa tall outside/opposite hitters like Hill and Lowe.

We don't know yet. And somehow Glass had memorize (or get used to it) it already.
