"sarah", hindi "stacy" uy. logan tom...she's too young and too good to not be part of the national team. italian team asystel novara is trying to acquire her. if they're successful, she'll be playing alongside the great feng kun and paola paggi. yumilka ruiz and ana ibis fernandez are likewise being recruited to play in italy, for urbino. the club will have to do some negotiating the cuban government though, ang sabi ng ilang fans. narcoleptic, yes you can find some games on youtube. hindi ko alam ang sites ng live streaming though. sarah noriega, castor. i don't remember her being on the national team since the sydney olympics. ang last niya yata ay noong early 2000's. tayyiba haneef and nancy metcalf took her place. liuba sokolova is a very nice and likeable person. in an interview she did, i remember she said that receiving is the thing she hated the most in volleyball, but she sorta smiled as she said it. she'll be sorely missed in the national team. a ok stacy pala. hows bout logan tom? si heather bown lakas pumalo pero the one thing i won't forget about her yung malaki nyang hita.

i don't know if she defected, but i think she played in italy some time ago. si torres ay hindi na yata naglalaro, but i see her a lot of times with the cuban national team, on the coaching staff (nasa montreux siya). yeah, i think so too. in the run-up to athens olympics (if i remember it right), she was summoned back to the national team as a reinforcement. this was around the time when aguero was granted assylum status in italy. if she had indeed defected, she would have not been even considered in the national team. hindi nag defect si Ana Ibis Fernandez...kakalaro niya lang nung 08-09 season sa Russia..... as of now wla pang transfer news sa kaniya..

From FIVB website:
Brazil, Netherlands, China go undefeated in Week 1 of World Grand Prix Lausanne, Aug. 2, 2009 – Only three teams remain unbeaten after the first weekend of preliminary-round competition at the 2009 World Grand Prix.
Brazil, China and the Netherlands won their first three matches of the elite Women’s international tournament to lead the 12-team competition heading into Week 2 from Aug. 7-9 in Chinese Taipei, Macau and Japan.
Brazil hosted Pool A in Rio de Janeiro, beating the United States, Germany and Puerto Rico to top the standings. The Brazilians won each match in straight sets to place themselves as the team to beat at the competition. Germany went 2-1 in Rio, while the United States finished 1-2 and Puerto Rico went winless.
In Kielce, Poland, the Netherlands ran roughshod over their Pool C competitors, beating Poland, Japan and Thailand to sit second in the overall preliminary standings behind Brazil on points ratio. After crushing the hosts and Japan in straight sets, the Dutch dropped their first set against Thailand on Sunday before storming back to win 3-1 (25-27, 25-21, 25-17, 25-20). Thailand went 2-1 on the first weekend, while Poland finished 1-2 and Japan, who are already guaranteed a place in the Final Round as hosts, went winless.
In Pool C, China won its three matches on home soil in Ningbo, beating the Dominican Republic and Korea 3-0 before being pushed to the limit by Russia in a five-set thriller. The Chinese won the tiebreaker 15-9. Russia ended Week 1 with a 2-1 record, while the Dominicans went 1-2 and Korea finished 0-3.
The teams switch up for Pools D, E and F for Week 2, before doing it again in Week 3 ahead of the Final Round in Japan scheduled for Aug. 19-23.

yeah, panay bago kasi ang usa e. sila barboza at davis lang ang mga kilala kong nakasama na sa national team. dapat siguro, ginawa na lang nilang transition ang team. half veterans, half newbies. with japan naman, half newbies, half veterans ang ginawa. hindi ko lang talaga maintindihan ng lubusan kung bakit pumapangit ang laro nila. sabihin na nating bago ang coach nila, pero to lose against poland and thailand with half of their beijing-olympic roster, errrr...you do the math. hehehe! hmm...could it be the loss of takahashi and sugiyama? ewan. anyhoo, i'd give them a year or two....pag wala pa e...e...aawayin ko sila. harhar! brazil...my bet is on them, IF: 1. they contain and control russia's oft one-dimensional play, and take advantage of gamova's not being 100% 2. they outsmart the netherlands in their tactical plays and counter-attacks. i think the dutch ladies are the only team who can almost match the balance of the brazilian offense player-per-player. ang magiging butas lang nila ay ang kanilang outside hitter number 2 dahil hindi pa naglalaro si debbie stam. 3. they contain wang yi mei and ming xue of china (i don't think the other hitters of china are as stellar as these two). i may be wrong, but of course, i'll stick to my brazil. hahahaha
