Their game became slower. Every one else was replaced well enough.

Pansin ko lang, sa international level (or perhaps even in volleyball outside the Philippines, i'm not too sure), iba yung blocking nila. May bwelo. Yung tipong galing sa waist down yung arms sabay itataas.

Bía was fairly old noong 2004 olympics, though she had not seemed to have slowed down by that time. Actually, noong time na 'yon zé roberto had four opposites to choose from--mari, bía, elisângela and leila. Leila was dropped, but she was able to play in the manila leg of the 2004gp. logan tom pa rin haha... jodaman akala ko nga bia will stay longer sa Brazil NT, i was surprised na nawala sya agad... kc parang c leila ang physique nya tapos pareho pa cla OPP... wala lng.. haha

I agree. I loved china's game at that time, kahit na hindi nag-ba-backrow attack si zhou su hong. It was just sheer speed and consistency. They had wang yi mei to finish off prolonged rallies or if they needed a quick point, but still they were solid from defense to offense. Zhou was never a middle blocker. They had someone else who was just as quick and stable in both offense and defense--si liu ya nan. Sa galing nila zhou at liu sa floor defense, puedeng-puede silang mag-libero. Anyhoo, i think it was the coaches who succeeded chen zhong he that changed the landscape for china. Sila 'yong naging sobrang ambitious, that they abandoned china's strengths--speed and defense--in exchange for power. di ko makalimutan si hao yang in her prime. parang ang bigat nya kasi tingnan pag di gumagalaw pero grabe ang talon at ang hampas. at ang saya ng aura nya sa court. ;p I think yung exit na Zhou Suhong and Yang Hao yung nagbago nung overall complexion nung team. 2004 Olympics grabe. Arguably some of the best women's volleyball matches in history.
