Just found out that Poland's big star on the Opposite, Katarzyna Skowronska, is not going to be part of the Polish Squad in World Championships. From what I read, she resigned by herself. However, Maggie Glinka will be back on the team.
Lots of missing stars!

I just read this somewhere
Mari out of Women’s World Championship
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, September 4, 2010 – 2008 Olympic Games and three-time World Grand prix champion Mari of Brazil has been ruled out of the 2010 FIVB Women’s World Championship, which will take place from October 29-November 14 in Japan, due to injury. The wing spiker suffered a sprained right knee on August 26, in a match against Poland during the World Grand Prix Final Round in Ningbo, China and on Saturday underwent arthroscopy which showed a complete rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament, which had to be rebuilt. The recovery time is six months.
"Mari had a total rupture, but the ligament has been reconstructed. The surgery was a success. Everything went well. Now, she will follow the normal protocol to recover from an injury like this, which will take around six months," Ney Pecegueiro, physician of the Brazilian men's and Unilever – Mari’s current club, said.
According Pecegueiro, who performed the operation, Mari will be released from the hospital on Monday.

Paula aiming to be fit for World Champs
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, September 1, 2010 – Brazil player Paula Pequeno has underlined her intent to take part in the 2010 FIVB Women’s World Championship in Japan from October 29-November 14 after picking up an injury during last month’s FIVB World Grand Prix.
Paula was one of two players, along with Mari, who suffered an injury setback early on in the final round in Ningbo, China and had to be content with watching her side pick up silver in the tournament from the sidelines.
She knows that the race is now on if she wants to be a part of Brazil coach Jose Roberto Guimares plans for the 2010 FIVB Women’s World Championship in Japan from October 29-November 14.
“We're very close to the World Championship,” she said. “I will devote myself to get back soon. I have a good record of recovery. I hope I can return ahead of schedule and get into a position to play at the championships."
Brazil will be aiming to go one better than their last outing in the World Championships at the 2006 edition where they were defeated by Russia in the final. They will compete against this year’s World Grand Prix bronze medalists Italy in Pool B alongside the Netherlands, Kenya, Puerto Rico and the Czech Republic.
