oo, sa italy nga raw ang creme de la creme, lalo pa't naroon ang pinaka-mataas na pasahuran. may balak raw tapatan ng turkey ang italy though. mataas na rin silang magpa-sueldo tapos kinukuha talaga nila ang mga magagaling sa ibang bansa. maybe karpol can answer kung ano ang rule about limit on the number of non-turks sa isang team o ang ibababad at a given time sa court. ay wow updates kung updates talaga... buti may live streaming na ung mga clubs sa italy... may question ako sa inyo sa tingin nyo ano ang premiere competition for volleyball clubs? kc halos lahat ng intl stars nasa europe naglalaro eh... sa italy kaya?uuu |

pero pag dating sa Pesaro si Hooker OH kasi nandun si Manon I am sure maraming magugulat kay Hooker with her receiving and digging skills. She's good (and will just improve) and she'll probably take the same route as Mari Steinbrecher, who started playing for Brazil's NT as opposite but transferred to the OH. LOL. Wag naman natin i-kumpara ang isang Wang Yimei kay Gamova. Crosscourt lang alam ni Wang kaya ang daling basahin ng laro compared to Gamova na may line shot din. hodge is an outside hitter even during her penn state days. si nicole fawcett yung opposite nila. Actually Fawcett was "the" other OH in Penn State's championship squad nung 2008...(Hodge was the other OH). Their opposite that time was Blair Brown. Si Nicole Fawcett kasi is 6'4 and a hard hitter pero mahina sa reception kaya bagay maging Opp sa international level. Agree kay Hooker na magaling rin sya sa floor defense. I haven't seen receiving though. Ay sorry naman OH pala si Fawcett sa Penn State though bagay talagang syang OP sa international. Sorry hindi ko na ikokocompare si Wang kay lola Katya. It's just hindi na ako impressed kay Gamova since 2008. Parang humina sya from thereon. Though hindi natin maipagkakaila ang power ni Wang. |

actually crisis ngayon ang italian league..ang maraming pera ay ang turkey at russia leagues..yun naman ang premiered..Russia at Italy lang dati pero ngayon umeepal na ang Turkey ....
sa Men's Russia ang pinakamayaman na mga clubs....
sa Turkey 4 ata pag sa Turkish league pero sa Champions League..kahit starting 6 mo foreigners pwede.hahahahha
sa Russia dalawa pa rin kahit sa Russian Superliga at sa mga Cev cups...pero gusto na ng mga clubs gawing 3 per club ang mga foreingers..........
hangang ngayon scoring machine pa rin si katya..tsaka may shoulder injury na siya at mtagal nayon kaya palaging nka brace or benda ang right shoulder niya..
kung kelan tumanda dun bumilis si gamova..hahahahaha
at si Carolina Costagrande na Ex-Argentinian..ay tinawag ni Mossimo sa Training for this coming 2011 WGP Qualification..

^^ ngek wala naman akong alam dyan sa european leagues. never akong nakapanood. stick lang ako sa NCAA at US matches (it used to be Cuba) hahaha.

pero may balita na balik brazil ang mga players nila na naglalaro abroad... kc maganda na daw ang pa-sweldo... paki-explain naman ung rule sa brazilian league na per team may leveling ung mga player, i mean d pwede magsama sama lahat ng members ng NT sa isang club... pero grabe ang unilever rio next season...

Some Updates:
Mari Steinbrecher will undergo an operation(arthroscopy) and that operation will determine whether she can play for Brazil this coming World Championships...but it looks like the chances are way way low. Paula Pequeno though is sure of going depending on her recovery.
Hui Ruoqi, China's next big star after Wang Yimei, will also miss the World Championships (including Asian Games).
Actually, China's in big trouble. 3 of their former coaches(Chen Zhonghe, Lang Ping, Hu Jin) all refused to take the coaching position left by Wang Baoquan.
I am not sure if it was posted before but Carolina Costagrande, the Argentinian-turned-Italian, has been called to train for the Italian National Team for the upcoming World Championships. Costragrande is 30 years old but she's so fun to watch...a very effective OH. She, together with Del Core and Tom, we're Italy Serie-A's best all-around OH/players last year according to statistics.
Lindsey Berg, USA's back-up setter in Beijing, is also training for the World Championships.

But I think some of its teams (e.g. Asystel Novara) went bankrupt or naghigpit sa budget kaya most "stars" went to Russia or Turkey for better pay. Example is Turkey's Fenerbahce Acidem with Skowronska, Sokolova, Furst, Osmokrovic and Fofao. All-star team! Not to mention Guimaraes as the coach. LOL Pero may mga teams pa rin ang Italy like Foppapedretti Bergamo, Scavolini Pesaro and Mccarnaghi Villa Cortese na maraming International stars na naglalaro. Azerbaijan is also getting a lot of good international players. Sila Alice Blom, Tayyiba Haneef-Park, Yuko Sano, Nicole Davis(USA libero), etc. |

but i just wonder if the turkish clubs can keep up with the financing. hindi kaya, maubusan rin sila ng pera kagaya ng sa italy?
anong balita sa spain, sa tenerife atsaka sa volero zurich sa switzerland? may pambayad pa kaya sila sa mga istar?
