how sad naman na second lang ang Brazil.. ehehe.. na injured ang dalwang outside hitters nila in the course of the final round, sina Mari at Paula.. they have a shot at the title sana kaya lang kinapos talaga.. well, bawi na lang sa susunod na edition.. ehhehe.. goodluck Brazil!!

hehe! sure but we can't take anything away from natalia. in fact she was so good, fabiola the setter was having a field day setting to her (lalo na 'yong laban sa italy. graveh!) she's got a sledgehammer for an arm! not only that, she doubles as a substitute for sheilla as an opposite hitter, and she's just as effective! hindi pa siya gano'n ka-level ni paula sa pag-receive but she was just so awesome and powerful on the offense. btw, jaqueline used to play opposite a long time ago, natalia currently plays opposite for sollys osasco (i think) and mari initially gained fame as an opposite hitter when she made it to the national team in 2004 (or was it 2003?). see, how all-around brazilian players are? pag-bali-baliktarin mo sila, balanse pa rin ang opensa at depense nila. against usa, i guess the american block was simply cemented and sealed impenetrable. trademark na ni coach mccutcheon 'yon kasi 'yon rin ang ginawa niya sa men's team ng usa. japan seems to be experimenting with a backrow attack from zone 5. if that becomes a regular play for them, malamang e 'yong ibang bansa e gagaya na rin. how sad naman na second lang ang Brazil.. ehehe.. na injured ang dalwang outside hitters nila in the course of the final round, sina Mari at Paula.. they have a shot at the title sana kaya lang kinapos talaga.. well, bawi na lang sa susunod na edition.. ehhehe.. goodluck Brazil!!

Ako din was able to watch some of the games. The "new" USA team was a pleasant surprise. Mag eexpect ka na matatalo sila initially because 4 out of the 6 starters were either a year or 2 out-of-college. Pero I guess that's what you get from plain talent and athleticism plus leadership from Tom, Bown and Sykora. Not to mention the Coach. Naku, pag magkataong mag gel yung mga batang player tiyak lagot ang Brazil.
Buti nalang USA stepped up with their program. Medyo "boring" na din kasi seeing Brazil win all these tournaments hehehe!
Lapit na World Championships! Rooting for Brazil, Russia and USA.

wtf , injured ang idol kong si mari .. sad Nabasa ko somewhere na yung injury ni Mari may cost her World Championship appearance. Kelangan yata i-rest ng 2 months or baka kelanganin ng surgery. Mahirap kasi October last week ang simula nun. Yung kay Paola ewan ko baka magiging okay na yun. If yung 2 pareho ang mawawala, abay badnews for Brazil. Si Jacqueline na lang ang remaining Open hitter na may magandang reception. Si Natalia di ganun ka galing sa reception although magaling sa attacks. Si Sassa naman magaling sa reception mahina naman sa attacks.

If USA solidifies their reception, open hitters and their setter, i think they can win the WCH.
