We couldn't even form a good set of players so this news doesn't surprise me at all. Mag-antay na lang tayo na ganapin uli dito ang seagames sa Manila. Tsk.

I also dont get the point bakit hindi sila pinayagan ng POC if some private sectors will be funding the team. So sad to hear this confirmation for our RP team. Yes, they may not be as strong team as our neighboring countries like Thailand or Vietnam, but then we really need to start from somewhere and go through all these. International exposure naman talaga ang nagpapagaling masyado ng Thailand because that`s the main key to become competitive.
Sana naman, kahit hindi sila kasali sa Laos SEA games, the team can still be intact and training will continue para mahasa pa for future International tournaments. Isang avenue is to accept V-league`s invitation for them to play. Sana this will happen.

RP team invited to play in V-League By FRANCIS SANTIAGO November 3, 2009, 8:16pm
There’s another reason for Shakey’s V-League fans to get excited.
To spice up hostilities in the country’s premiere volleyball tournament, organizers said they have struck an agreement with the Philippine Volleyball Federation that will allow the national women’s team to play exhibition matches against the regular competing squads next week.
“We have agreed in principle (with the PVF),” said Moying Martelino of organizer Sports Vision. “We’ll just iron out some little details in a meeting within the week (this week).
In Martelino’s proposal letter to the PVF, the V-League has offered the RP team six play dates: November 8, 13, 20, 24, 27, and 29 – all during the quarterfinal round where six teams will see action.
Barring any problems and conflicts of schedule, the RP team will go up against league-leading University of Santo Tomas, Far Eastern University, San Sebastian College, Adamson University, Ateneo, and either College of St. Benilde or Lyceum.
Should plans push through, it will be a huge help for the competing teams to raise their level of competitiveness.
The V-League suffered a major blow this season after the PVF allegedly refrained the national players from playing as guest spikers in the league to focus on their preparation for the Laos Southeast Asian Games in December.

2005 pa yung huling sali nila sa dating old line up, after that nag disband, And form a new line up many times.
2 years pa uli next seagames. back to zero uli .

hmm hindi na talga kasali ang NT natin.... pero in my own opinion mabuti na rin yung hindi sila kasali kasi talagang napapagiwanan na tayo ngayon in terms level of game... para matugunana ang ating pagkukulang dapat magtrain na lang sila ng magtrain na magtrain... para pag dating nang 2011 SEA Games mganda laro nila... dapat training muna bago experience... i think 2yrs of very extensive training may bring good results as for experience ang pwdeng nilang salihan na competition is 2011 asian womens champs except kung magkakroon nang mga invitation tournaments pero mukhang malayo

Unfortunately, it is unlikely to happen in third world countries like us. Gov't is not giving so much priority on sports against economic prob, educ, health, and sympre, ayaw bawasan budget ng kukurakotin nila, hehe.
