I read this news below, that there has been no blessing given by POC on the latest published composition of the RP team for Laos SEA games. As I understand from the article, it should be POC who gives the final word and not PSC. Sana may changes pa at masali ang RP volleyball.

The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) stressed it has never reached an agreement with the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) regarding the number of athletes who will compete in the 25th Southeast Asian Games.
In a radio interview, Olympic Committee executives Mark Joseph of swimming, Go Teng Kok of athletics and Mario Tanchangco of sepak takraw denied it has approved the Philippine delegation that has 153 athletes and 47 officials.
“There was no agreement of 200 athletes and officials,” said Tanchangco, the country’s chief of mission to the biennial meet slated this December in Laos.
PSC Chairman Harry Angping said the “Dream team,” composed primarily of 2007 SEA Games gold and silver medalists, were even based on a list submitted by Tanchangco and Commissioner Joey Mundo, who represented the PSC in the SEA Games task force.
The former Manila lawmaker believes Tanchangco’s recent change of heart was unacceptable to Joseph and Go that resulted in the denial. He then challenged the sepak takraw chief to stand by their agreement.
“He [Tanchangco] should honor his words,” said Angping. “They [POC] should respect the position of the chief of mission. When Tanchangco came to me, I am dealing with a respectable official, who can speak in behalf of the RP contingent.”
The 200-man RP delegation is the smallest contingent that will compete in the biennial meet slated this December in Laos.
Joey Romasanta, Olympic Committee spokesperson, meanwhile, said the right to grant accreditation still rests with the local Olympic body, which has the mandate of the International Olympic Committee, and not with the government sports agency.
“We [the POC] want to remind Chairman Angping that the POC is the only deciding body available for the accreditation of athletes and their numbers and the sports, which we will participate,” he said.
Incentives for medalists
Angping also promised an additional P100,000, on top of the usual cash incentives provided by the government through the “Cash Incentives Act,” for every gold medal gained in the SEA Games.
Besides the P15,000 monthly allowance of the athletes, the government sports agency will also give them an additional P2,500 a month for their meals.
“We will threat them as our brothers and sisters by looking after their needs like vitamins, milk and others.
I will see to it that our nutritionists and sports psychologists are really taking care of them everyday,” stressed Angping.
The Sports Commission also formed a special monitoring team that will check and observe the training of all Laos-bound athletes until December.
