yeah, that was the time. tinawagan ng check ball si choi kwang hee laban sa spike ni gamova (yata), pero ang totoo, hindi tumama ang bola.
hehe! wala naman. naisip ko lang ang sa korea kasi karamihan sa players nila ay bata. at medio na-i-intimidate (somewhat) ang ilan sa kanila pag japan ang kalaban nila in almost any sport. either they fill the bitter need to beat japan or they feel intimidated. sometimes, wala naman talagang feeling. hehehe! wala lang. naisip ko lang.

;D ;D ;D BOW ako sa setter. KUDOS! Attackers come from every side of the court that is why the setter is very confident itaas ang bola! Good setting is always the key to winning kahit gaano pa kagaling ang mga attackers mo. Russia could've beaten China during the quarter finals of olympics last year if not for the foreign play that Sheshina did. She gave low sets to her attackers to have faster plays which was not their style. Their Italian coach introduced new style but they weren't able to perfect in such period. I also think that without Fofao, Brazil will not get their gold. |

gold in the world championships? i'm not bashing on you (i'm smiling ^_^ ), but maybe you can englighten me. you appear to applaud the brazilian setter/s, but you're saying that without fofao, they won't be able to make it. i'm also a bit worried about brazil without fofao or fernanda, but the new setters are fairly young and currently no one else is as balanced in offense and defense as they are. almost everyone is rebuilding and re-structuring their teams, including usa, cuba and russia. brazil rebuilt and re-structured before they did. ;D ;D ;D BOW ako sa setter. ^^ that was during the olympics. i haven't seen any good setter that would replace fofao until lins came. i mean why would get the service of fofao in that age if you have young players that could do the job? may be in skill perhaps but leadership? its pretty obvious who was the alpha female of the olympic squad of brazil... fofao.
and we all know that brazil has confidence problem during important matches (semi-final sydney olympics and semi-final athens) considering that they always have very strong attackers. i know fofao was there during those matches but in beijing she showed that she's in control of the team. probably the willingness to win after four failed attempts.

good point. fofao is icy cool. nervous players would just look at her and they'd settle their nerves (including mari). lol. i don't know much about dani yet, but i hope she will execute the same leadership as fofao did.

i think hindi naman confidence ang naging problema ng Brazil nung 2000 OG semis versus Cuba.... simply was in their super prime masyadong lang malakas siguro
pati rin naman si Rezende non aminado na malakas ang cuba
nung 2004 olympics naman i think PARANG over confident si fernanda nung 4th set kay Mari kaya ayun..si Virna na nga eh nagagalit bakit di daw ibigay sa kanya nung binigay naman sa kanya..ayun na block nman
24x19 ang score isang isa na lang yun for brazil..and they could beaten china at that time kung nagkataon

there was this instance during beijing that a bad call committed by the referee and paula pequeno was furiously mad at the referee. fofao gazed at her as if to say forget about and let's continue our play. she rarely let her teammates talk to the referee. sya lagi. sinasaway nya pag pasugod na galit ang mga teammates nya i see high potential kay dani lins. but i like the personality of ana tiemi. very fierce:D |

jodaman how bout carolina, does she have what it takes to fill in the shoes of fofao? di ba sya naman yung main setter nila in other international meets other than the olympics before fofao came out of retirement?
