i agree about travica. aba'y kahit b team na ang pinadala, nandoon pa rin siya. i really think he needs to be replaced. i have a vague clue about how his team's middles play offensively because of him. about lanza, i haven't seen all his stats, pero sa mga napanood kong mga match niya, hirap siyang makapatay ng bola.
france made it to the final four of the world championships last year. nagtataka nga ako kung paano sila naging group 2 (were they in group 1 last year? i forgot). siguro 'yung 12-0 na performance nila this year, may kasamang "in your face" sa nag-classify sa kanila. i think they're too good for group 2, just like egypt is too good for group 3.
murilo may be old, but without him, nakup, kangkong ang reception ng brazil. i think they should give lucas loh more time to play. they have other worthy young players like gustavao (middle blocker) and murilo radke (setter), but, i dunno perhaps bernardinho doesn't like to have that much of an age gap between him and his players. hehe! still though, i can't say that i don't enjoy watching them (lalo na mga setter). i do think vissotto should go, however. shoo shoo
for the final four, i'd love to see brazil, poland, usa and serbia.

Well to be honest, Lanza is not really a prolific scorer but he is good in reception, even better than Zaytsev. Tapos si Ivan pa mej di na ganun kagaling, mukhang mas effective pa nga siya as opposite last year. Pero Lanza is injured, in their last game vs Brazil, sa fourth set nagkasprain siya, di pa sure kung makakalaro sa final round. I wish Italy still have more options sa wings. Last year, they had Jiri Kovar, Simone Parodi, but now wala na sila sa lineup at all. Not sure what is the reason.

Australia defeated France sa group 2 finals last year. Last year, France was the favorite to win the Group 2 Finals, but they choked against Australia, that's the reason why Australia ang nasa grp 1. Now would be the perfect time for France to win and move up to the finals and next year, play in Grp 1. They have an unbeaten record so far, so definitely sila ang expected to win the finals. 'Cause if they lose again, they will join RUS sa Grp 2 next year. If this happens, this will make Grp 2 much more exciting sa 2016 pero as a fan of FRA, I'd like to see them battle against the stronger teams.

Mas type ko Italy dati noong madaming NT players ang hindi available due to injuries. Parati ako nagroroot sa kanila. Grabe lang ang pag overperform kahit madaming wala. Proof of good coaching and a good system yun.
Tapos si Kovar parating Curacha mode at si Fei ginawang opposite dahil waley yung ibang opps. KKLK
Tapos si Papa Matteo din.HMMMM hot...

I remember Michal Lasko played Opposite sa Italy MVT pero parang isang season lang siya nakalaro at nawala na sa line up. I believe he is one of the best Opp hitters Italy had at knowing na lefty pa siya. I wonder if he is still playing.

Nice cohesive play from france against argentina. I must say that, however, that i could almost taste arrogance from their performance. Fun to watch though. Let's see them try to get into brazil's nerves.

volleywood reports that travica, zaytsev, sabbi and randazzo have just been removed from the national team for breaking curfew rules imposed by the team management. (a separate article about the boys also stated that travica has become a diva. lol. it wasn't the first time i've read about that) i think now's a great time to test juantorena on the national team. i hope they the consider him. i think only zaytsev will be missed. but is it safe to say that we can count the team out of the semi-finals already?

Yes, I was upset when I first read the news sa world of volley website. Italy pa naman favorite ko. Injured si Lanza, then wala pa si Zaytsev na ang number 1 receiver pa currently sa group A. Then Sabbi will also not play, most likely Vetorri will be the opposite but lately he hasn't been playing well. Sana bumawi siya. Medyo maganda na nawala si Travica, in their last few games sa intercontinental, nananalo ang italy kapag yung 2nd setter and ginagamit, either Gianelli or Saitte. Randazzo naman hindi ginagamit nung latter part ng intercontinental pero starter siya nung umpisa, nung wala pa si Ivan.
I'm still hoping that they win, let this be their inspiration.

my second favorite team is France, napakacute nila as a team, not only are they good but very obvious na maganda yung chemistry nila on and off the court. I have a feeling na ang alanganin pa sa isang group eh either Brazil or USA. check the IG post of the french team, uber cute!

FRA beats BRA in the first game. 3-1 They are still undefeated in this year's World League. 15-0 na ata sila. If Brazil loses tomorrow to USA, sila ang matatanggal sa kanilang group. ITA then beats SER 3-2. Then if ITA wins again tomorrow against POL, ITA will advance for sure to the next round. POL and SER will have to battle it out in the last game sa kanilang pool.

yeah, france's group photos are very funny (the latest one with le roux imitating the Christ the redeemer was very creative, though a bit audacious). kung makapaglaro lang ang pilipinas siguro sa world league, may sarili rin sigurong kalokohan sa mga picture ang gagawin nila. brazil yesterday was annoying with all their mistakes in defense and serves. they looked uncoordinated and unfocused. i found it really odd, though, that the french services went so many times to murilo. he almost never flinched there (there were a few awful mistakes, but they seemed far fewer than the good receives).
