^UST showed the composure of a true CHAMPION. Nuff said.

I still want to see Kat as the Main libero. Sub na lang si Dancel kay Mia sa likod. pero I understand kung bakit hindi laging pinapalitan si mia - kasi medyo kargado naman ang serve nya. pero kung ako si coach shaq, Dancel in Mia out na nga lang sa likod.

1st and 2nd set - Tama kayo, nagmamadali talga tayo (UST) Yes parang nakalineup din ako.LOL. At turning point talaga nung pinasok si Jane. There was a shot na nadig niya na sa tingin ko eh kung nakuha ng AdU ung point na un eh baka na-straight sets nila ang mga tigress.

I think karkulado pa rin ang spikes ni Judy. May lakas pa tong tinatago. lagyan lang talaga ng effetive timing eh baka mas malakas pa siya kay tabaquero. Si Maru naman walang variety. laging palo. wag sanag sophomore jinx ngayon.

si maika naman, siya na ang definition ng quick hit ngayon. kakaalis pa lang ng bola sa kamay ni dmac eh nasa kabila na ang bola. BILIS! (given na na malakas.hehe!)

Mama Mia! May power si teh. pero wala pang flick of the wrist masyado. at good job nagimprove sa pagblock kanina. konting experience pa at dadating ka na din "doon."

Dancel. good job sa digs. pero konti pa sa reception..

overall, good job ke judy, aiza and maika!

Please correct this "jancarlo from PEx" from spreading false information.

The record still belongs to DLSU with 25 blocks from their 2nd round match versus AdU last season, January 16, 2010. That was the match with the marathon 1st set that went 35-33.

How do I know? I still have all the stats from last season even Season 71 saved in my My Documents.

Post Game Analysis:

Dmac – not the usual game from DMac but still one of the best setters / servers / blockers UST has ever produced.

Hirotsuji – better game for her, more polishing on her spikes, blocks & floor defense.

Banaticla – Sorry but I never really felt Maru on this game, lapses on the attack and on the digs. Good thing she was able to recover during the latter sets.

Maizo – Maizo is Maizo; forgivable un mga attack errors niya, bawing bawi naman sa block.

Ortiz – asan na un basher ni Maika? Un nagsabi na wala naman improvement si Ortiz? I guess ACTION speaks louder than WORDS.

Caballejo – Redemption game for Judy, if not for Ortiz’s excellent plays, I would have bet siya ang POG kanina. Better Attacks, Good Floor defense; IMHO, she can be moved to the Utility position next year. Have you guys noticed, parang mas gusto ni Judy ang sets ni Jane kesa kay DMac?

Dancel – How I love this girl... mediocre reception but excellent digs... cut her some slack, it’s her rookie year... we never seen Curato or Fortuno played this well on their rookie as Libero.

Carangan – the lucky angel, her crucial receptions during the latter part of SET 4, assured that the tigresses would get that set.

Gonzales – I think it was really her that somewhat awaken the nerves and the senses of the tigers.

I hope UST won’t play this way when they face DLSU on Jan 12. A slow start will be very costly on their campaign.

haii.. medyo kinabahan talaga ako sa 1st 2 sets.. kung kailan hindi na masyado nag eerror si Judy saka naman dinagdagan ng error ng iba.. buti na lang at nakabawi..

buti na lang din pinagpalit ni coach si Hirotsuji at Ortiz sa rotation nung 2nd set di ba kumapit na ung score?? nung 1st set kasi natambakan UST nung wala nang option si Rhea kundi si Maru tas nagka errors pa.. ito din kasi yung nakita kong problema nung laban nila against ADMU na magkatabi palagi si Maru-Mia-Rhea, sa opinion ko kasi mas okay talaga yung Maru-Maika-Rhea-Judy-Mia-Aiza sa rotation.. kasi mas maraming chances na mabigyan ng bola si Ortiz.. pag katabi nya kasi si Aiza ay di masyadong nabibigyan.. sana ito na palagi ang position nila at wag na ibalik sa dati... sana gumawa rin sila ng mas maraming combination lalo na pag kaharap na nila ang DLSU...

sana magtuloy tuloy na si Judy, natutuwa ako na palaban na din sya sa net.. tas may time pa na umatake sya sa gitna tas baon, pero na receive nga lang ng adamson..

pangit lang yung backset ni Jane kay Aiza.. pero malaki naman ang naitulong nya.. nag iba yung mood ng UST nung pumasok sya magaling din sa floor defense at service..

they have to step up more if they want to retain the championship...

1. hindi sila narattle at nawalan ng pag-asa kahit down 2 sets.
2. they were able to get the momentum back and lessen errors towards the end.
3. may ibang nagstep up nung medyo off si aiza.
4. improved blocking from the team overall.
5. nalaman na nila weakness nila at marami pang time para gawan ng paraan.

eto ay sakin lang naman.
