sorry pero ang makakapantay lang kay ferrer ay si dimaculangan. malayo-layo pa si esperanza sa dalawang yan. #1 si ferrer, #2 si esperanza.. mas malayo si dimaculangan.. esperanza is a rookie and she's playing the game as if she's not.. whether maganda or hindi ang reception, kung magaling ka talaga na setter, mase set mo yan.. kaya nga may paa para tumakbo.. yun lang..

success set percentage po pnag uusapan...tlgang big factor ang reception...syempre alin po mas madaling iset ung isusubo na lng sau ang bola u ung hahabulin mo pa? tatawanan ka lng ni ferrer n esperanza kc easy balls lng iseset nila bcz they have good floor defense n reception.
try to check on teams with good floor defense...ang mga setter nila ang nasa top sa stats...gnun lng kasimple ang explanation nyan...

tanong: ano pagkakaiba ng running sets and still sets? bakit sa ranking ng setters, yung average number of running sets per set ang kinoconsider?

Running sets are borne out of not-so-perfect receive of a service ball or a pass ball. In a running set, the setter has to a) go after the ball to b) set it almost perfectly to his spikers. It is difficult to execute because the setter is out of her usual setting stance.... Coaches and trainors often do running seeting drills on their setters to prepare them on any type of passed ball...Good setters trained to do running sets can give quick sets at his front or at the back very well. This aside from the high sets on both side or on the middle.
Still sets - could be that the setter has a prefectly received first ball and had set the ball with minimal movement on the setting position.

Rhea was awarded as a Best Setter, Best Server and even the Finals MVP for both UAAP & SVL...she won't be a multi awarded player for nothing...decision making & creativeness? isn't that Rhea's strengths??? hmmmm, better check her UAAP & SVL stats...you will even hear how the commentators commend rhea's setting skills...her attackers have high percentage kills bcz of her good sets..alam na ntin yan kng sino2 sila... my injury lng tlga si rhea ngayon at inconsistent and reception ng team

Still sets - could be that the setter has a prefectly received first ball and had set the ball with minimal movement on the setting position. Share lang po. Nope. I have to disagree with this explanation. While the words 'Still' and 'Running' can mislead people in thinking that it's about the setter when in fact it's the blockers of the opposing team that is referred to in here. Running sets are sets that are set by the setter to an attacker and that attacker only faces a single or no block from the opposing team. Still sets, on the other hand, are sets that are set to an attacker and that attacker faces 2 or 3 blockers from the opposing team. Still sets vs. running sets actually highlight the ability of a setter to fool the opposing blockers of the other team. While reception plays a big part to make the setting chores easier, the still sets and running sets DON'T emphasize in the movement of the setter at all. Hope this clarifies things up. P.S. I used to think before that still sets and running sets depended on the movement of the setter when setting, until I read this article: usavolleyball.org/news/2008/08/01/u-s-men-have-little-time-to-reflect-on-victory/2853Scroll down kayo sa mga 'Best Players' na part, at nandun yung explanation.
