Di yata afford ng Osasco si Tom at Hooker. Mahal si Tom! Elite player kasi.
Sana wag umalis si Hooker sa Pesaro. Ok na siya dun. Kasali pa siya sa serve-receive ng team. Malaking tulong yun in the future!
Same like Hodge na kahit may malaking offer from Korea (big buck$$$$ daw talaga) pero mukhang sa Cortese (Italy) pa rin siya.
Si Alix Klineman mukhang sa Italy din maglalaro.
Just imagine... Lahat ng batang USA players either andun sa Italy, Russia or Brazil naglalaro professionally:
ITALY - Hooker, Hodge, Blair Brown, Harmotto, Paolini, Klineman,
RUSSIA - Larson, Barboza
BRAZIL - Fawcett, Glass
Imagine lahat ng players na yan wala pang 25. Future looks bright for USA!

Alix Klineman to Pesaro. Siya (yata) ang papalit kay Hooker.
Sabi pa nung Vice President ng Pesaro, kung sa over-all draft pick pa number 1 si Klineman.
Agree ako. Magaling siya, matangkad (6'4) pero ang galing dumepensa.

USA has good young players... pero pag pinagsama sama cla parang nag iiba ang laro nila... same with russia nung mga previous years (karpol wag masyado magalit ha, opinion ko lng to)... russia vs brazil ang finals this year sa tingin ko... pero sana makasingit ang USA.. bwahaha

aside from alix klineman's offensive prowess, magaling rin ang floor defense nya - even better than barboza's. she can give larson a run for her money in the first 6 spot considering that tom might not play for the NT this year.

aside from alix klineman's offensive prowess, magaling rin ang floor defense nya - even better than barboza's. she can give larson a run for her money in the first 6 spot considering that tom might not play for the NT this year. Ang issue lang kay Klineman is her health (shoulders). I remembered during her 3rd year at Stanford, hindi siya ganun kalakas because her shoulders are bothering her. Halatang may iniinda. Kaya ayun early exit sila sa NCAA 2nd round palang tinalo na ng Colorado State (If i am not mistaken) na di naman high-seeded. Pagbalik ni Klineman in her 4th year with Stanford, ayun she was a monster, almost 20+++points per game, I think she scored 43 points in a 5-set match vs Arizona State. Kaya lang natalo din sila sa Regional finals vs Univ Southern California. Hopefully maging okay na ang shoulders niya. And yes, I agree, for someone her size commendable ang floor defense niya. All she has to improve is her serving and put a little "oooomphh" in attacking. Re: Tom not playing this year - I expect her to be at World Cup of volleyball. Olympic games' automatic berth ang at-stake dun kaya USA needs Tom. Rest muna siya sa early tournaments like Montreux, Grand Prix, etc. |

To me, she's way over rated. Sorry ha. I mean, yes she was highly recruited in High school because she was ranked #1. But after her ACL injury in college, wala na yung form at prowess niya.
Sa National Team nila ngayon, I can name 4 better OHs than her when you talk of over-all game. Tom, Larson, Hodge and K. Glass. Kung Opposite naman, she has to beat out Hooker (which is nearly impossible), Fawcett (what an armswing!) and even Metcalf.
Cynthia can become a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none type of USA NT player. But in the long run, she'll be overpowered by better athletes. Sa 2011 palang, taob na siya kay Klineman and Brown.
And I forgot, babalik "DAW" si Kim Willoughby. More competition for OH/Opp!

speaking of cuba babalik si yumilka ruiz at zoila barros. kasi nga nakulong yung isa nilang top player na may balak magdeflect. tawagin din kaya ng russia si artamanova? :lol: i think they need better middle blockers.
i agree with cynthia barboza being overrated. wala ata si klineman sa line up ng national team ng US for grand prix and montreaux. bakit kaya?

i'm excited for kim willoughby if ever... kim glass will never get a starting spot hanggat di mag iimprove ang receiving nya...ok naman tom and larson as oH... nasa USA NT ulit c haneef-park... di ako masyado impressed sa blocking ni alisha glass... hehe.. jampacked ang team USA parang Brazil.. sana maayos nila... bwahaha
