Who are the best Beach Volleyball Players currently in the Philippines??? The New PVF is looking to form Beach Volleyball Teams to represent the Philippines in the Olympic Qualifier and the upcoming international season. Who do you think should be on that team?

I think Michelle Carolino and Joanna Botor Carpio...
i think they won 2nd place in vietnam....

kailangan matangkad, magaling mag-block, malakas ang attacks, magaling mag-dig, magaling mag-set. meron na bang ganun dito sa pinas? often soft spikes and drop shots lang nakikita ko sa uaap & ncaa. halos placing placing na lang ang labanan. although may paminsan-minsan din namang solid spikes.
closest na sa para sa akin sina bautista(attacks) and laborte(net defense). digging lang issue ko sa kanila. baka medyo mahina ang galaw sa loob ng court dahil matatangkad.
maizo & cha cruz/vivas. not so tall, not so short. versatile players. on the average, okay ang skills: spiking, blocking, reception and digging. and they can also set. yon nga lang, maninibago si maizo and/or vivas sa beach volley(?). magandang i-tandem si maizo either kay cruz or vivas. panahon na para mag-develop ng mas batang players na ipapadala sa international competitions.

Si benting pwede din esp sa digs. kaya lang maliit..
sa UST meron ba competent? pang indoor kasi silang lahat eh.. ehehe..
pde na rin si Latigay..
mmmmm.. sa mga provincial teams siguro marami, like Aplasca and Verano..

sa ust, si maizo lang nakakakitaan ko ng form and energy na pwede maging above average beach volley player (relative sa mga nakikita kong avp beach volley competitions on tv). mas gusto ko ang galaw niya kaysa kay alarca. then mas okay ko ang attacks ni maizo kung far from the net ang bola.

malabo mangyari but i would love to see a Charo Soriano-Angeli Tabaquero tandem for obvious reason...

These days on the Asian tour girls are not just tall but big. The time of having a 5' 7" defender with a 5' 9" blocker are nearing an end. The PVF is looking for girls that are 5' 9" and taller with a winning attitude. There are many big events this season Olympic qualifier, AVC tour, Sea Games '11 and the Philippine federation is looking to send the best.

^ganyan naman ang PVF. pero it takes more than "telling we'll do this" than doing the actual thing. RE lander, I mean they could train them for BV. Pero yeah, malamang mas kailangan sila sa indoor. Sila talaga ang mga best so far. |
