The Indonesia and Philippines are through to the Quarter-finals after defeating Singapore and Mongolia respectively at the first elimination round played on 2nd July, 2009.
Singapore's Dorita Peng and Tan Yiting are unfortunately eliminated from the Beach Volleyball Competition Girls' Category.
Dorita Peng was suffering from a knee injury which prevented her from playing her best for the team.
The team stood no chance against the fast-footed Indonesia girls who focused their attacks on Dorita.
"There was nothing much I could do," said Yiting.
The game ended with Indonesia defeating Singapore 2:0.
The Indonesian duo will be facing Kyrgyzstan in the Quarter-finals.
In the same elimination round, Phillipines won the game against Mongolia with a score 2:0.
"I'm happy about this match," beamed the Philippines girls' coach, Dante Lopez. "The girls lost this morning, so this time they did well. They'll be even better tomorrow."
Philippines will be meeting Kazakhstan in the Quarter-finals, which will be taking place on Day 3 of the Beach Volleyball Competition held on 3rd July.
