Kailangan kasi ng LPU ng dependable attacker other than Beverly Boto.

i think 25-13, 25-16, 25-19 in favor of the Stags. I don't care about Sherilyn Carillo, isang Pepito lang neutralized na yan, hehehehe

Games on Sunday (The Arena, San Juan)

-Shakey's V-League: Ateneo, San Sebastian notches second straight victory-
The Ateneo de Manila (ADMU) Lady Eagles and the San Sebastian Lady Stags continue to dominate the opposition after winning their respective games in the continuation of the 2008 Shakey's V-League 1st Conference at The Arena in San Juan on Friday afternoon.
In the first game, the Lady Eagles completely outplayed a disorganized St. Benilde Blazers squad in three-straight sets, 25-13, 25-17 and 25-22, to notched its second straight victory in the tournament.
The Lady Eagles, it was recalled, got their first victory last Sunday after an easy three-set demolition of the Lyceum Lady Pirates.
Misha Quimpo, who had to take a backseat in the first game to the offensive minded Charo Soriano and Thai import Jindarat Kanchana, was named best player after she outshone her teammates by scoring 14 big points for her team.
The Lady Stags meanwhile kept in step with Ateneo in the race for the top position after outclassing also in three-straight sets the Lady Pirates of head coach Emil Lontoc.
The Lady Stags, which is bannered by guest player Suzanne Roces, hardly made a sweat after scoring 25-18, 25-23, 25-12 victory against Lyceum.
Lou Ann Latigay was named best player by scoring 25 big points for the Recto-based spikers.
The victories put Ateneo and San Sebastian on top of the standings with an immaculate 2-0 card while the loss further dropped St. Benilde and Lyceum's record to 0-2.
The top two teams after the double round eliminations gain an outright berth in the semifinals while the two squads that will emerge with the best record by the end of the quarterfinals get to join the two seeded teams to the semis.
University of St. La Salle and University of San Jose Recolletos, the two invited teams from the south, will see action in the quarters, when they battle out the third to sixth teams in a single round robin format.
