Floor defense would surely work for them. Sherilyn Carillo,
Beverly Boto and Dahlia Cruz are their key players. The Lady Pirates should minimize their attacking errors. I haven't watched them in the recent WNCAA Women's Volleyball but Im kinda expecting that they would be the dark horse this season. I believe that Bernadette Satsatin, their setter have improved a lot.
She's a fast learner. She proved that last conference. =)
I believe they are strong in the middle as Beverly Boto and Dahlia Cruz, their veterans are still present. Jane Jarin should be consistent in her offense. Their Libero, Dela Peña should do what Marga, their former libero does for the team.
ATENEO
Ateneo will be playing in the upcoming season of Shakey's V-league with a new coach. Coach Mic Laborte is their new head coach. Coach Roger Gorayeb, SSC-R's head coach is their trainer ata. =) Pu Kanchana, Karla Bello and Charo Soriano would be their key players. Pu Kanchana, RBAC Team Captain is known for her powerful attacks, sharp serves and good floor defense. On the other hand, Charo Soriano, the NEW Team Captain of AdMU-WVT is known for her versatility. She can play good volleyball in any position. Hehe. She proved that in the recent UAAP Women's Volleyball. She is known for her running spikes, powerful backrow attacks and excellent defense. Karla Bello is a veteran setter. I believe she could make NEW plays for the team. These might be one of their surprises. I've been hearing a lot about this. Kara Acevedo is also there to help Pu and Charo in their offense. Patty Taganas should be consistent both in her offense as well, in her defense. She's another player to watch-out. Hmm., I just hope that Stephanie Gabriel would be their libero for many reasons.

I feel that Lyceum will win this won in four or five sets.
Lyceum, by the way, is being handled by UST MVT head coach Emil Lontoc.
Obvious na bias ako. hehehe!

WOW...coach emil for lyceum?? champion coach...
..di koh pa nakita laro ng lyceum pero since champion sila sa NCAA given na ang power ng team. ADMU's wvt has a very big heart kaya I hope the game will be in 5 sets... =)
