tom na finals game nila against csa..sabay nga sa mvt so game 2 na ng mvt mapapanood ko.maganda chances ng ustgvt kasi they're very talented talaga,wag lang mailiitin yung kalaban para 100% pa rin effort nila lalo sa depensa.excited na ko mapanood to tom

UST girls win Shakey’s volley title

Email this | Email the Editor | Print | ShareThisMANILA, Philippines – University of Santo Tomas blasted Colegio San Agustin in straight sets, 25-22, 25-13, 25-14, to win the Shakey’s Girls Volleyball League and qualify for the Tournament of Champions.
Most Valuable Player Alyssa Valdez combined with Den Santiago for 17 kills as the España-based spikers advanced into the T of C slated April 1 in Bacolod City, where they will compete against qualifiers from the Tacloban, Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo legs.
“We finally made it. The girls worked hard for this title," said UST coach Francis Vicente.
Valdez won Most Valuable Player and best attacker honors to lead the special awardees in the competitive division.
Other awardees were Mariel Sinamban of Angeles University (best server); Dennise Lazaro of CSA (best receiver); Mikaela Esperanza of De La Salle Lipa (best setter); Aleona Santiago of UST (best blocker); Abigail Pacleb of CSA (best libero); and Vicente of UST (best coach).
In the developmental division, Saint Francis of Assisi College Bacoor took the crown after beating Valenzuela National High School, 25-12, 25-22, 25-22,. Leading St. Francis' attack were Gretchen Esmero, Niña Asuncion and Phoebe Ilagan who contributed a combined 27 points and 8 kills.
Special awardees were Esmero (MVP and best attacker); Vea Cuevas of St. Mary’s College QC (best server); Anna Marie Dala of Valenzuela (best receiver); Olivia Cunanan of Valenzuela (best blocker); Kaye Almazan of Diliman Preparatory School (best libero); and Jamir Abenales of SFAC Bacoor (best coach).
