I don't think di nila kayang gamitin double sub sa mga higher ranked teams kasi nawawala yung powerspikes ni Muserskiy from the backrow. Grabe lang si Zaytsev, for sure Russia is full of regrets na such a player with russian blood isn't playing for their country. Kklk. Haha Pangit ata ang form ni Spirinodov along the other OHs kaya ginawang OH si Mikhaylov.

Italy is the first non-Olympic host team to qualify for Rio 2016 thru set ratio. The gold and final slot will be decided with USA match against Argentina.
If USA wins, the world cup and rio spot is theirs.
If Argentina wins, Italy wins the world cup and Poland will get the final slot.
If USA wins, there'll be a blood bath sa european olympic qualifiers. Poland vs Russia vs Serbia vs France vs Germany vs Bulgaria. KKLK. #pray4Europe

You would think may problema sa gelling but I guess maganda din talaga yung maging underdog, madaming mag uunderestimate sa kanila.

Medjo dramatic ang nangyari sa Italy after the last competition na may pina-uwi sa kanila. At meron pang public apology n naganap. Pero, I see the passion to win.

USA wins the world cup.
Final Rankings MP W L Pts. 1 USA 11 10 1 30 2 ITALY 11 10 1 29 3 POLAND 11 10 1 29 4 RUSSIA 11 8 3 23 5 ARG 11 7 4 21 6 JAPAN 11 5 6 16 7 CANADA 11 5 6 13 8 IRAN. 11 4 7 12 9 AUS. 11 4 7 12 10 EGYPT 11 2 9 8 11 VEN. 11 1 10 3 12 TUNISIA 11 0 11 2
USA as usual sa mga system teams were consistent all through out the competition, aside from their Poland loss, they never drop a point against the lower ranked teams.
Italy I feel were just a team that had matches that got tight against the lower teams. Na test agad mettle nila and probably learned to play under pressure at mag gel habang bago sistema, setter, middle at OH. Momentum carried them right where they are right now and were lucky they faced Russia first before Poland.
Poland won all their matches except for today which is a pity considering Kubiak worked his ass off. They were very inconsistent against some lower teams and the match against Iran made them lose a point which was proven crucial. They lost some sets here and there during this world cup. They only need a point to qualify over Italy sa Rio Olympics.
Russia had almost the same story as Italy, ang pagkakaiba, they were never tested in a 5 set match. They won a lot of points kasi they didn't lose sets a lot but they also didn't won convincingly during their games. They were almost pressured during their matches even against the lower teams. They always almost lost the first sets of their matches then dominate the second set and their level drops again during the third and fourth sets. I think if they faced Japan first before Italy baka nagkaroon pag asa pa sila since they would have to work hard trying to beat Japan's defense and get better at applyjng shot selections against Japan. They could have also gotten better sa blocking since Japan runs a fast offense. It didn't help na no team aside Japan pushed them to 5 sets which only happened today. So yun.

Though USA wins nakukulangan pa din ako sa kanila similar sa women's team understandable naman yung sa USA kasi every olympic cycle nagpapalit ng line-up laging mga may mga bagong players but with enough experienced magiging consistent din sila!! Mental thing talaga ang problema ng both team!! Nasa culture ata talaga nila yun madali silang madown when things get rough!!!

viktor polet@ev (loko itong proboards a. ayaw tanggapin ang t-a-e.). for me, he's like the opposite hitter version of taylor sander. muserskiy i think is just too physically massive/dense to be moving like most wing hitters (compare him with mikhailov na parang hollow ang buto sa bilis niyang kumilos). but yes, he gets the job done. Si tangkad Mesursky (whoever) naman, parang sobrang tanda nya na sa kilos nya. for me, anderson is good enough, though he isn't zaytsev (who can carry any team to victories all by his lonesome). zaytsev's transition to the opp is complete and his physicality is just so impressive. anderson seems to forget sometimes that he's an opposite, and he may swing like an outside hitter. i'm not saying that anderson is bad--he's really, really good. perhaps the drawn-out scheduling format of this tournament doesn't favor his style. just my two cents'. i think, mababaw ang bench ng USA in terms of wing-hitters. the MB's are very good. anyone in there can start anytime. for russia against strong teams, i think their biggest problem is the outside hitters. muserskiy's transition to his new role isn't complete, so he hasn't been able to always compensate for the wing hitters. the inexperience of the young middle blockers for me just magnifies this problem (makes one really wonder why alekno chose the players he chose). again, just my two cent's. Bangis ng Poland ha. Ewan ko ba sa US, full line-up naman sila pero parang ang laki pa din ng kulang. Wala silang terminating Opp. Si Anderson is just all around opp. tapos babaw ng bench. Yung team b nila layo ng gap sa team a nila. As I predicted, windang ang results ng Russia against the higher ranked teams. Their middles need a lot of gym work. Sina Vlasov at Kurkaev unfortunately are still inexperienced sa senior international tournaments. Hehe

di ko gets. could you please elaborate?

Apalikov is injured and Volkov is beyond repair and probably retired.
Still, this is an improvement for Russia.
I think nagpabaya kasi Russia, they gave their best youth players sa junior teams while the former coach Voronkov favored his club middle Volvich and probably by seniority took Aschev ng Kazan. He's too old.
Russia's junior players are just too strong for this level.
I think this was the first time na call out sina Vlasov, Kurkaev at Poletev sa senior team. I feel like Alekno knows na the other teams are stronger than Russia right now pero he has to make up for the lost years na walang halos exposure yung mga youth players nila. It's a good result knowing na rebuilding sila while other teams are now playing on a much higher and faster level. Look at USA and Italy they are playing zero tempo. While sa russia their quicks are almost like pang-local level lang. KKLK
Knowing Brazil din, they are probably scouting other teams in this world cup. I think for Brazil, they are in a good place kasi they are hiding their plays and players which is a good advantage before Rio next year.
So baka din si Alekno is hiding some plays (or even players like di niya masyado ginamit mga natural and younger OHs niya)too. This is probably just preparations for them to scout other teams and develop their youth players. I think a year is enough for Russia to get better unless di sila magqualify sa olympics haha.
