i remember anne remulla mentioned that barina was the queen of volleyball rp during one of their game sa v-league before. i saw her play nung 1993 sea games sa tv and they beat thailand for the gold medal. wala pa sila macatangay and pimentel nun.

i would say the best woman in volleyball history would be Thelma Barrina, she led the rp womens team to the gold medal in the 1993 sea games against thailand winning it in 4 sets together with escollantes, arlene apostol,cyntia arce, nene ibanez, whitey vasquez and other veterans, up to now wla pang nabuong team sa rp na at par sa knila, sina cherry rose macatangay rp youth plng nung time na yun nung nging senior na sila di na nila na achieve yung status nila thelma. sna nga yung rp team magkaroon ng selection sa buong phils. kasi mdaming talent its just a matter of politics ksi kya nag concentrate sila sa isang school, nagyari na yan before eh di pa sila natuto

Kung sa local it would be between Roxanne Pimentel and Cherry Rose Macatangay, but I would still pick Roxanne pImentel in the end becauseher defense is of international caliber already. Kung sa International Feng Kun ng China or Valentina Fiorin of Italy.
