i 'll go with aiza maizo. hindi kase masyadong napapansin ang utility position before pero nung umeksena na si maizo, naging synonymous na yung name niya sa utility position.

agree with slydiva.., si maizo lng yata ang utility position n first option ng setter to give a play..., whether back quick differential at minsan back row attack pa..
pero i think this thread belongs to cherry rose macatangay and thelma barina....
cherry macatangay was my addiction nung last appearance nia with adamson, together with rubie de leon..., grabe yung laban niya against bualee that time points per points ang labanan power kung power..., unfortunately they were defeated by ssc that time...

Thelma Barina- Di ko siya napanuod nung kabataan niya pero I saw her play kahit matanda na at grabe pa rin sa power. Kaya na-imagine ko na gaano siya kalakas nung kasikatan niya.
Maizo-Lalo ako na-impress na tinapatan ni Aiza ang lakas ng mga Thai imports last vleague s7c1. I super love the backrow hits, at ung mga baon spikes nya at quick

Si Ate thelma pa rin ang the best... i saw miazo the way she play against the thai import...ok namn sya. but remember n ang mga thai import n yan ay mga amateur lang sa kanilang bansa.di namn sila mga nationl player...not like nung panahon nila ate thelma, tinalo p niya mga players na kagaya nila pleumjit na nakakuha ng Gold medal last year sa Asian senior Womens volleyball... infact some players ng national team ng thailand ay seniors na na naglalaro parin hanggang ngayon kung saan nakalaban ni ate thelma nung seagames nung 1993 sa singapore..

lahat ng thai players here are part of the national team...the most visible i guess is em orn who usually substitutes the 1st six of thailand.

e diba ang topic na to. who is the best woman volleyball player in history??? si ate thelma nagbigay n ng karangalan sa bansa as MVP nung 1993 seagames sa singapore. since non almost 17 years na ang naklipas. wala parin nakaka break ng record nya.we can see some potential players sa bansa ngayon. but localy dto sa bansa lang natin sila nakikita maglaro.not outside of the country... we can say a player is a best kung nakipagcompete sya sa ibng bansa at nagdala ng karangalan... almost 17 years n bagsak ang volleyball sports sa bansa. nothing improvement... nakakahiya... talo p tayo ngayon ng indonesia,malaysia,myanmar at thailand... n kung saan dati tayo ang kampeon sa larong ito... wala nga tayong entry sa Princess cup at asian club ngayon... buti pa north korea may representative... tayo wala....

After the recent UAAP, I believe Maizo na talaga. Of course you would admire from her those powerful attacks na talagang patusok and her blockings too. But when she topped that receiving department, talagang napawow na ko. Ang suave kasi magreceive. Parang wala lang. Tapos pag overhead receive naman parang setter eh. sarap tingnan.. Not to mention that she sets the ball to the attackers at times. For a great attacker who can receive and set the ball as good as hers, sino ba naman ang hindi mapapawow?  Best Volleyball Player indeed.. BEST ATTACKER BEST BLOCKER BEST SERVER BEST RECEIVER BEST SCORER and of course.. MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. that's volleyball for you. |

ill go for cherry rose rivera macatangay... ive watched her for like a decade and shes amazing ive first watch her in SEA games held on thailand and God shes good shes the only one who can play in Thais level, Molit(Prochina) cant, DivinaGracia(Guanco) cant, Salak cant, Paglinawan cant, Enriquez cant, shes great

naalala ko noong may PSC pa sa vleague, thelma rojas together with prochina and nakalimutan ko ung left handed. grabe lakas pumalo ni madam thelma, kahit malayo sa net, at magaling siya magbreak ng block.

I would go to USTe players sa akin lang naman too...MJ Balse, Venus Bernal, Aiza Maizo, Ange Tabaquero, Pimentel, Dimaculangan,Tan....I wish to see them play again..sana One day i can see them playing again just like before sa UAAP..
