OT lang, pasok ang gilas sa FIBA asia finals at sure slot na rin sa world cup next year. sana mag-share si MVP sa kanyang kayamanan sa PVF. or pwede rin si Ramon Ang. or kahit sinong bilyonaryo sa pilipinas. para umangat ulit ang volleyball sa pinas at kaya na makipagsabayan sa mga magagaling sa asia tulad ng gilas. |

My Final 12 Setters: fajardo, Dmac Middle: Santiagos, Ortiz, Tubino Open/ opp: Bernal, Cases, Maizo, Gonzaga Libero: Reyes, Gohing Alternates: Marano, Tabaquero Firt 6 Setter: Fajardo Open: Bernal, Maizo MB: D. Santioago, Tubino Opp: J. Santiago Libero; reyes Open si Maizo pero kapag nasa harap sa opp parin sya papalo prang si Gamova. Si Jaja sa opp pero kapag nasa harap sa open papalo. kapag nasa likod magdouble sub sina Dmac kay jaja at Cases or Gonzaga kay Fajardo pra tatlo lagi spikers natin sa harap. So ang labas ng rotation: Jaja/Tubino/Maizo bernal/dindin/fajardo - Dito pwede lumabas si bernal at isub ni reyes. Pra dindin at reyes sa defense Kung si jaja na ang magseserve magiging Gonzaga sub for Fajardo/Dindin/Bernal Maizo/Tubino/Dmac for jaja - Dito isub ni Reyes si Tubino pra Maizo at Reyes sa defense. -Since ilang weeks lang training ng girls hindi nila kailangan mag design ng fancy plays, sa rotation na ganito kahit simple plays lang pero meron parin papalo sa tatlong zones. So kailangan lang nilang praktisin yung jelling ng team blocking at defense. Si jaja lang ang kailangan mag adjust ng position from Mb to open hindi gaya dati na lahat pabago-bago. -Sa line up na ito may able replacement sa bawat position like Cases sa open, Ortiz sa middle, Gonzaga sa opp at Gohing sa libero. Unlike before na siksikan sila sa MB pero karamihan bangko at kulang na kulang sa open kaya kinonvert si Dindin sa open. Dito sa line up na to gamit lahat ng mga players at may specific roles sila team - Lastly, dito nakadesign yung rotation at plays sa strength at weaknesses ng players natin at hindi kung ano ang line up ng ibang teams kasi imbyerna yung mga nababasa ko sa twitter. dapat si ganito daw sa ganito dahil sa china ganito line up nila ek-ek. way too complicated, i think. hindi lang yung kalaban yung magugulo, moreso yung players. |

Kulang talaga tayo sa receiving OHs that can do damage offensively.
Si Carolino na siguro yung maayos nating receiving OH in a long time, pero she's too old na rin to compete internationally.
Ito yung meron tayo na OH na part nung team, (I'll add Daquis too, kasi she's on that level din naman)

you know, it's good to have solid middle blockers, and with the trend in the style of volleyball we have now in the philippines, we have good reasons to keep these players in their positions. (btw, utility and opposite are the same positions). reyes as outside hitter, i think i'll have to disagree with that with what i'm seeing now. mabagal at mahina siya. Sa totoo lang, ang pag-asa ng pilipinas sa intl volleyball, dapat maiconvert ang mga players sa mga positions habang may pagkakataon pa nila according to their height. For example, Mika Reyes. 5'11. Great middle, pero isipin mo kung na-train siya as an open spiker? Or si Dindin, instead na utility o middle, 6'2" sa opposite siya? Si Maizo or Cha Cruz, 5'10/5'9" from utility to a setter? Imba! Kung gusto talaga ng pinas, pagkakataon na nila to, paminsan-minsan lang makapasok sa pilipinas ang isang Jaja Santiago. Dapat gawan nila ng paraan, suportahan na lang nila ang mga players. Napag-iwanan na tayo ng ibang bansa na nilalampaso natin dati. Yan talaga ang tunay na balakid ng volleyball sa pinas. |

agree. on the other hand though, i really think that jaja will be a better wing attacker kaysa middle. i hope in the national team they assign her to one of the wings. if maizo is there, OH na lang siya. give them ample time to practice. alam naman natin na may ibubuga eh. at wag na experiment sa position ng players kasi ang hirap mag adjust. ok lang ang OH to Opp and vice versa pero ang middle to open or utility at middle to libero position, ay, ang hirap kaya nun. good luck na lang sa mga napili. sana may developmental din na set of players, parang team B na kung sakali na wala ang iba sa team A, may pamalit na sa kanila na ready to play na kaagad. |

opinion ko lang 'to: as a team, dlsu is formidable. individually nga lang, many of them are not that rounded enough. they simply work very well inside the court together. but kim and abby are fine (although abby is too short for international standards). mika needs a bit of work, though she can't be discounted totally. its pretty sad that some fans of DLSU are discouraging their players to join the team dahil wala naman daw mapapala. Where is this kind of mentally coming from? Hopefully abby, mika and kim eh sumali. |

sir, maganda din kung OH si Aiza considering her height, offense and defense. she just needs to get her groove back pa like during her stint sa UAAP. ang hirap kaya magblock at magdepensa ng lefty OH. hehe. hope they consider it esp kung me mga able replacement naman sa utility position.

Siguro naman kaya nila mag-block, mag-receive, mag-serve, mag set, umatake kahit nakablindfold sila. Joke joke joke.  Obvious naman na may sistemang sinusunod ang La Salle. Sino bang team ang walang sistema? Kung tutuusin nga, DLSU is probably the most well rounded team sa buong Pilipinas excluding the National team. I agree Mika needs adjustment kasi di nga talaga pwede ang mga drop drop lang pero one can tell naman na she's a smart player. I'll take brains kaysa sa brawns na di naman kayang pumatay ng bola any day of the week.  Kung pag-uusapan naman natin Aby's height. Well too bad nga pero ano ba talaga ang standard. Kung iisipin naman natin talaga, bagsak karamihan ang mga middle attackers Pilipinas sa international standards ng isang middle attacker. |

"utility hitter" ang ginagamit natin dito sa pilipinas. "opposite hitter" (minsan "universal hitter") sa english-speaking countries at sa english publications ng fivb. they play opposite the setter (hence the designation "opposite"). all the wing hitters, pati outside hitters, hit from the back row (puera lang dito sa pilipinas): zone 6 sa mga opposite/utility na lalake, zones 1 at 6 sa babae. all-around sila ideally but in most international teams, they don't receive. you know, it's good to have solid middle blockers, and with the trend in the style of volleyball we have now in the philippines, we have good reasons to keep these players in their positions.
