On this game, nakita weakness ng UST, receive and blocking. Coach relied too much on Ingrid despite the fact na hindi sya makablock. Carangan's receive was also lacking. I wonder why Dusaran was not put in. Pero grabe na rin kasi talaga improvement ng FEU. This is truly a wake-up call for the tigresses.

I think the weakness of UST is they know how to start strong in every set but come the crucial points they succumb to pressure. They just don't know how to finish a set. I think that's what sets them apart from last year's team. Killer instinct is not there. Maizo provided that last year. Who would provide that this year? Ortiz? Ortiz is a powerful attacker. She can rally her teammates to a sizzling performance. But she cannot provide that killer instinct just because she herself gets nervous at the crucial points. Tight siya lagi pag close game na. Look at 1st round versus DLSU and 2nd round versus FEU. Ortiz pours in the point early in the sets but cannot deliver when she is needed the most. Also, is Ortiz in the best physical condition? I saw signs of fatigue in the later parts of set 2 already.
On the other hand, Banaticla I think has the potential. But she has to lessen her errors. She gets demoralized when she commits a series of errors. Killer instinct na lang okay na.
I am not a UST fan but this is how I see things.
