It's amazing how at 36 mastrangelo is still a monster, isn't it? Ako naman, I think Dragan Travica is an abomination. Lahat ng bola binibigay kay Lasko or sa OH,ang taas kaya ng hitting percentages nina Fei and Mastrangelo. Italy's MB's are hitting at almost 80% for the whole tournament, why not use them more?

Raphael plays italian club trentino betclic. I like your starting 7 there, and i agree about that polish mb. Poland can be underrated a lot of times (including by me), but they are technically strong. Tactically, they are fine as well. Pero kulang ka yata ng isang mb. I like argentina a lot too! My mythical 7: OHs: Murilo, Dante, Giba, Conte MB: Mozdzonek (sp) of Poland, aside from blocking and middle hitting, he can dig and is a decent aux setter. OPP: Miljkovic, Mikhaylov SETTER: De Cecco LIBERO: Sergio, emotions and all.

. Ang galing lang all 3 setters of the semifinalists of the Club Worlds are Brazilians. Wala akong maisip na isa pang MB? Hmmm. Poland is overly hyped by its fans, probably why people are undermining the team. Pero gusto ko na both Argentina and Poland teams are underrate by volleyball fans tapos sobrang praised ng British and American commentators. Italy currently has 24 points. Brazil got 21. What does Brazil need to get 3rd? Concerned lang ako sa Argentina, I really want them to win their continental.

Nakaschedule ngayon sa Balls dapat yung USA v Serbia, pero live ngayon Brazil v Japan. Most popular team vs the home team. Go Brazil!

Brazil won. And it got the Olympics ticket. Hmmm.

I really liked Argentina too. I like their attitude, walang angas. And they vary their sets quite well. I like their team captain, Quiroga, not the biggest hitter, pero maganda yung placing ng bola. And I've seen him in plays where it was a mis-set pero dahil ang ganda ng hangtime niya, he his able to hang in there until the block goes down and go for a clean kill.
I think Serbia's place does not reflect their performance in this tournament, OK naman sila in general e, pero parang they were not able to get the points when it mattered.

I think mas may longevity na yung mga players ngayon. Around 2004, Tara Cross-Battle seemed to be the only player in the woman's side who was above 32 but was still part of the lineup, and she wasn't that good anymore. Plus Fofao. Pero in 2008 there was Fofao and now there's Gioli and Scott-Arudda, and Mastrangelo and Miljkovic and USA's team and Giba and a whole slew of characters that show that volleyball isn't a sport for people just in their 20s anymore.

Awardees: BEST ATTACKER: Ahmed Abdelay (EGY) Sayang. It would have been very interesting if a setter became the best attacker. Pero kung may setter would be the best attacker, I wouldn't be shocked if it was Egypt's.
