QF Game 4: AdMU VS UPHSD (April 28, 4pm)

I watched the game live.

Ateneo had an off day in their offense.
Valdez and Cainglet were both inconsistent earlier.
Actually, even Nok had her own share of errors.
BUT .. I have to commend their defense.
Their digging seems to be at its best.
Imagine digging the very strong attacks of Baulee.
Lazaro, Valdez and Cainglet played awesome defense! :bd
Hahaha! And their blocking is their asset as well.
Of course, Kesinee led their net defense well again!
Ferrer played great as usual and Dzi played well too.

Perpetual's offense isn't working because of their new setter.
She seemed to be lost at times. She set balls that are really low for Baulee.
Baulee had a hard time adjusting to the sets which most were either low or far from the net.
Tubino was completely guarded.. Sartin as well.
Delos Santos had some sparks but it isn't enough for them to win.
If they want to win against Adamson then De Luna must play again.

Congrats to Ateneo.

un laban ng perpetual sa lyceum .. ganda ng nilaro ni tubino kabaligtaran kay sandra .. ngayon maganda ang nilaro ni sandra sa ateneo kinapangit nman ng laro ni tubino .. kung pareho lang sana maganda ang nilaro nila kanina .. baka nagkaroon pa ng 5th set or nanalo pa sila .. kaso hindi eh ,,

pag maganda ang set kay bualee hirap ang ateneo na kunin spike niya .. pero dahil halos buong game bilang lang ang maayos na set sa kanya . talagang abang ang depensa ng ateneo .. bualee 14 points lang un 10 un puro hulog dahil sa walang maayos na set sa kanya ..

It isn't Jem Ferrer's fault to put Aly and Ayel together.
Si Coach Charo ang nag-ayos ng position na yun.
Isang beses lang magkakasabay sa rotation sa harap si Aly at Dzi. Ayun. Hindi PA naman pwede ilagay si Dzi sa middle dahil off pa din ang timing nila ni Jem sa quick sets, medyo nagkakapaan pa din.

Based from what I saw sa panonood ng live, itong game pa nga pinaka nautilize si Dzi especially in the third set. During the first and the second set, huli din siya ng depense ng Perpetual at ng blocking ni Baulee. Try to watch the game again. Fille had a hard time attacking especially during the latter part of the third set na dapat natapos na yung game. Di siya makaikot with Nok. Though may maganda siyang palo especially yung sa kwatro where she had an open chance na ibaon talaga yung bola given na nalito ni Jem yung blockers ng Perpetual. Dzi had the same opening though. But I have to agree with you, ang ganda ng floor defense ni Fille .. si Denden din

all I can say for ADMU is that they have really utilized their floor defense, which became a key to a better attack..

for Perps naman, YES, they have an A-game naman.. talagang mataas lang ang energy ng ADMU on which hindi nila nacontain.. kung pangit naman ang laro ng Perps, hindi naman lalagpas ng 15 ang points nila.. ahah..

GOOD JOB for both squad.. isa lang talaga ang dapat manalo sa bawat game..

-ay sana lang, ganito din ang laro ng ADMU vs AdU.. :3

VALDEZ was just lucky she was tall enough to go over the blocks...hirap parin xa magadjust mid-air, xempre bata pa.....very linear ang hits nya... kung ano direction of approach, un n rin ang attack....tska halos xa lng an bnbgyan unlike FILLE-NOK na salitan kya mukhang mas gumgwa ci VALDEZ khit off tlg xa.....ito n ang kinkatakutan ko........hahahaha.....hirap tlg cxa.....ung third set....errors un dhil sa over-confidence that backfired..... gnun cla lagi......tas nakakapressure p ksi hiyawan ang mga tao for perps, xempre underdogs......even kesinee had lapses at that point dhil sa crowd.......actually nung 4th, di makapasok c Valdez kya puro DZi ang bgay ni FERRER(buti naalala nya that DZI can score) at yun, sunod sunod scores ni DZI....magaling c Alyssa.... pero dpat maglevel up p xa according to what her hyt can offer......yeah im asking for too much already pero kung gnun xa againts adamson ,,, mahihirapan xa... aabangan lng xa sa floor. we dont want here ending up like DZI after 2 years ... very linear din c DZI maglaro ksi mababa tumalon kya madaling mabasa pag pinagaralan tlg ang approach.....

Like what I've said in my older post .. Fille and Aly played inconsistent yesterday. I was informed by Jem that Aly is feeling her injury again, bumigay na naman daw yung strained muscles niya. That was I guess last Tuesday so I suppose until now, masakit pa yun. She was advised to take a 2-3 weeks rest pero syempre she couldn't afford that especially na nasa quarterfinals na.

And with Jem dividing the sets for Fille and Nok, malamang lang yun. Haha! Try to look at it, sa rotation na ginawa ng Ateneo starting their first game against FEU .. magkatabi si Nok at Fille so iexpect mo na yun. Si Dzi nga katabi rin ni Fille. Sino ba ang katabi ni Aly? Si Ieal at si Jem so what do you expect? Well, personally .. i must say Aly is best attacker for Ateneo now. The statistics will prove it.. she's ranked second best. Though when we talked about a total player (offense, defense .. everything) .. syempre, we must consider Fille and Nok as well.

If you got complaints on why Jem is setting the ball most of the times to Aly then you must address your complaints NOT to Jem but to the Ateneo's coaching staff since sila ang nagdedecide na iwanan si Aly mag-isa. And personally, its working! They must know the best for the girls. :bd

marami ngang fans nagsabi kahapon na masama pa ang laro ng ateneo. off sila jem, fille and alyssa. denden and nok talaga ang nagfunction, na ironically, yung pillars ng ateneo defense kaya nanalo pa rin.

actually maraming beses na maganda set kay bualee, ang problem lang is naboblock siya or nadidig siya lagi kaya hirap na hirap siya. frustrated na nga mukha niya eh. by y count, naka-7 blocks ang ateneo sa kanya, 4 or 5 kay kesinee tapos 2 si cainglet and isa si gervacio

un kahapon .. si sandra ang itinapat kay kesinee pero nakaka iscor pa rin kahit hirap. pero si tubino ? un game niya sa LPU 13 pts partida si dalhia cruz na un at quinlog na mas maliit 11 pts.. tpos biglang nag shutdown na kay patnongon na 3 pts lang .. na miss ko lang un astig niyang running spiker tusok eh

honga eh laking bagay talaga ang blocking ng ateneo kahapon .. hirap talaga si jang pigil kung tumira tpos minsan sa gigil error . :-/sama pag bugbog sarado ang setter ng perps kahapon . ;D
