-Alarca opted to sit down in the UNIGAMES to give Gumabao experience in the middle position. YES, Gumabao is in training to be better than JAcq, She's training to be an open hitter as well as a middle hitter. Question: Eh bakit si Paneng naglaro nun? Coach Ramil didn't risk it all. Tournament padin yun and he also needs the experience and firepower of Paneng. *Questions answered? =)) And paiba-iba pa sila nun ng rotation, 'di ba? Ang nanatili lang is Paneng sa open, Abi sa middle and Esperanza as setter. Nagpapalitan sila Cha, Gumabao, Siy at minsan pinapasok pa si Demecillo & Tatlonghari & si Mela Garbin din ginagamit pero 85-90% talaga si Esperanza ang setter nila. Gohing is as is. |

^Yup.
Full-force na ang UST nuon, with the ocassional substitutions of Gonzales, Amar & Carangan. Sobrang under-manned sila coming into this season. Let's see what will unfold not just on Wednesday but during the rest of the season where it gets really, really exciting.

so kung sinasabi nilang ang game plan ng DLSU ay pagurin si Maizo, UST have to play smart more than anything...

^The question is: 'yun lang ba ang gameplan ng DLSU? UST has to play smart but they should also be able to contain the offensive onslaught and be patient enough against the pesky blocking of DLSU. And I don't think DLSU has a problem with floor defense. Mga occasional miscues lang ang nangyayari and they're warranted to have them because they're human after all. What they can exploit is DLSU's reception through their serves and their rookie setter but Esperanza proves to get steadier as every game progresses.
Haaay. Exciting game. Very exciting indeed.

im not a USt fan nor a dLsu fan, but i think USt will gonna win on jan. 12.. why do i always have this feeling na.. USt will win over dLsu.
if im going to match player to player:
the main scorer of both teams
Maizo vs. Alarca = Maizo. Why? for me mas effective si Maizo than Alarca eh in all department.
banaticla vs mercado = veteran na si mercado and mas may experience na pero sa offense match talaga sila preho na sakto ang power nila.
ortiz vs marano = mas consistent si ortiz at swerte sya kasi magaling na setter si dimaculangan kaya mas maraming combination plays ang ust, nakakapag combi. si ortiz at magaling gumawa ng execution of play ang setter ng ust, mas may coordination din sila than dlsu in my own opinion.
dimaculangan vs esperanza = no doubt. obvious na lamang si dimaculangan than esperanza na rookie palang.
tas ang dlsu magaling pa libero nila na si gohing unlike ust na rookie palang yung si dusaran. tapos nandyan pa si cruz na all-around player... pero... kahit mas lamang sa tao ang dlsu.....
ang magpapanalo pa rin sa USt dito ay meron silang Aiza Maizo and Rhea Dimaculangan given na yang dalawang yan eh, yan ang advantage nila sa game na to. ganyan kagaling ang ust.. kahit sabihin na nating si maizo, ortiz at banaticla nalang talaga yung main weapons ng USt team, mapapanalo pa rin nila ang game na to.. nasa tatlong to kasi ang wala sa big mac sa opinion ko yan ha...

may pakiramdam akong ire-reserve ng ust ang best plays nila para sa finals. pero nararamdaman ko rin na may game plan sila just right and enough for them to tighten or even win the match. (parang calculus, differentiating the equation to get its maximum with its set of variables). yan ang gagawin nila. ganun din kasi ginagawa nila sa shakeys vleague(at least with their rivalry against ssc-r). sa finals na nagkaalaman. mas strategic ang ust. naiisip ko lang.

...dahil lamang lang sa tao ang dlsu team, at sinasabi nang iba na.. mas magagaling ang 2nd stringers ng dlsu compared to ust's 2nd stringers, doesnt mean na pwede ka na mag assume na dlsu mananalo on jan. 12..
in my prediction, ust pa rin mananalo...
why?? of course.. because they have an excellent players! im not saying na ang dlsu wala,syempre magagaling din players nila.. pero iba din talaga kasi pag may star player ka, and ust is very lucky to have a player like Aiza Maizo.. She is the star player of USt.. we all know that.. sya ang buhay ng team ngayon na wala na yung ibang veterans.. kaya mananalo ang USt on jan. 12 espc. because of Aiza Maizo will do wonders again for her beloved team, as usual, as always... lagi syang maaasahan... kung sa lakers para syang si kobe bryant.. kung sa chicago para syang si michael jordan.
Si Aiza Maizo ang magpapanalo sa USt.. sya ang leader, sya ang pinaka star player sa team. Sya ang pag asa.
sa dlsu naman si Alarca ang pinaka star player nila, pero sorry to say, mas better na player si Maizo sa kanya...
pupusta ako sa game na to.. bet ko USt...

ok.. Maizo is a star player.. wala namang kumukwestiyon dun.. kaso Maizo is just one player.. unlike sa DLSU, kung hindi man maging ok ang laro ni Jaq, anjan pa si Mercado, Marano, Cruz at Gumabao.. sa comparison mo between Marano and Ortiz, i beg to disagree.. sa laki ng improvement ni Marano, kayang kaya niya utakan si Ortiz.. 3rd year na si Ortiz and yet, puro ganun nakikita naten.. wala na bang bago? and ung sa sinasabing tinatago ng UST plays nila for the Finals.. may semis pa po tayo.. remember you had 3 5-setters already.. reality lang.. kayang kaya manalo ng ADU ADMU at NU sa UST next round.. i'm not saying na matatalo UST ah.. i'm just saying, bilog ang bola.. pwede sila matalo..  |
