fave setter ko si yoshie t. of Japan.. kahit maliit and precise ng sets nya sa mga attackers niya at alam niya kng san niya ihahagis ang bola para sa mga attackers niya...

My favorite setter and player is Eleonora Lo Bianco.
There's just something so calm and collected about her, parang di siya nararattle. Plus the Gioli-Lo Bianco connection is arguably the best quick play after the 2004 Olympics. I think without her, Italy could just be another European team na high sets lagi.
The Asian setters are also good. Takesh!ta is so nice to watch, Tomkom Nootsara is also very precise and fast. And of course Feng Kun, siya siguro pinaka mabilis na "tall" setter.

Akin ang big 4 setters ko: lo bianco, feng kun, fofao, and takenutsa. I like Lo Bianco bec. she seems so cool inside the court. Feng Kun, may not be as fast or as super creeative as takenutsa, pero with her height, she's also a good blocker, and from time to time, she attacks. Kay Fofao naman, I like her movements inside the court, yung tipong tumatalon talon siya tapos di mo alam talaga saan niya i-se-set. Takenutsa, for her speed and creativity which she uses to compensate for her lack in height.
Wei Qiuyue may not be as good as Feng pero I remember nung Beijing Olympics semifinal match agains Brazil, may isang play na sobrang napabilib ako sa kanya. Pangit yung receive ng China nun, so tumatkbo siya papunta sa open. So Brazil was expecting na sa open niya na ibabato. Paluhod na siya noon tapos nagbackset pa din siya para maka slide attack yung middle blocker niya (si Ma Yunwen ata yun).
Sobrang naaliw ako sa mga setters kapag tipong nakaharap sila sa net tapos they're still able to set it for a quick or for backrow attack. Parang woah. Haha.
Yung ang big 4 setters ko. Sila lang kasi tumatak sa akin since recently lang ako naexpose fully sa international volleyball.
Right now, I like Berg a lot, as well as Maja of Serbia.

Takesh!ta was magical, almost perfect in 2010. Right now medyo bumaba ang level ng laro niya.

Zhang ping may have been initially a reserve but she eventually became the best attacker of the olympics. She replaced zhao rui rui actually who got injured (pareho noong 2008). When zhang's knees gave in, pumasok na sila xu yun li at ma yun wen. Ayun! Si Zhou Rui Rui yung nakalimutan ko. Ang bilis ni Zhang Ping nun, China defined the quick attack and the back slide, nobody does it better dati. And then nung bumalik na si Gioli after her pregnancy, I think her back slide became the best after the 2004 Olympic Cycle. |

Poland right now is a mess.
With the noticeable decline of Skowronska's game, the absence of Baranska, Glinka and others opting out, their chances of an olympic berth are gone.
Sayang nga si Podolec, magaling din yun e. Kaczor is an OK player, pero she's not opposite material in the Polish type of play. Tingnan mo naman yung mga naging opposites nila lately (di ko na alam yung before): Glinka, Skowronska, Podolec. Malayo yung level ni Kaczor.

I also like Berg..she seems to be a very good team mate. Very good team mate. Haha. Pero I get what you're saying, pati si Heather Bown parang magandang maging team mate. Which is something hard to say with Cuba, parang kung bago ka sa team at nagkamali ka, parang gugustuhin mong magpa-sub muna. |
