on a serious note, volleyball is a VERY UNPREDICTABLE game; i repeat, VERY UNPREDICTABLE.
International competitions like the olympics prove that you cannot foretell which team would win. It is also proven in the past games in the UAAP. Parang nung natalo ng UP ang UST; UST didn't see it coming. Each team has the opportunity to win, it's just how they utilize such opportunity. On the same day that UST lost to UP, NU snatched their first 'set victory', against ADMU pa. hehe..
Let's just wait until the game day comes. Although, weighing the teams, I can say that UST and FEU have the upper hand.

UST vs admu, i think the most awaited game this season. clash of the Rookies. expect this match-ups:

D-mac vs Ferrer
Ortiz vs Ho
Caballejo vs Cainglet
Co vs Gervacio

i'm really waiting for Dmac-Ferrer on frontline.
who will prevail? will the Tigresses pounce on Eagles?
or will ateneo keep an Eagle's killer instincts?

i think. may point si ran regarding the co-gervacio match-up.. when i see co play, i remember angge tabaquero but with less energy and less power.. para siyang nanghihina. tapos pag di makapalo ng maayos, di maipinta ang mukha. sana, the new year brings new energy for this girl. more power to co. (magvitamins ka neng.. ) although, gervacio is not so perfect as well. her power is unquestionable but i feel that may kulang pa sa kanya.. gosh, i forgot the term.. hehe.. sorry naman..

sa dimaculangan-ferrer match-up naman, almost fair game.. depends on who will step-up or be much more driven to win..

In the battle of the Eagles and the Tigers. Tama 'yung nagsabi na the Tigresses have the upper hand, pero tama rin yung nagsabi that volleyball is very unpredictable. Experience-wise, masasabi kong kahit rookie-laden ang UST, mas lamang sila. It has something to do with the system of the team eh. Talent-wise, I guess the rookies of Ateneo cannot be questioned. magagaling talaga, pero if you'll take a close look, batang bata pa 'yung laro nila. Not trying to spoil the UST squad, pero hindi ko naisip na rookie ang karamihan sa kanila.
In this match, maybe I'd go for the Tigers in 5 sets.

Tamaraws versus Falcons, the recap of UAAP Season 70, but definitely not the preview of UAAP Season 71 finals. XD. Well, Momentum-wise, hawak ng FEU ang shining momentum because they defeated DLSU in 5 "dramatic" sets, while AdU lost to DLSU also in 5 dramatic sets. AdU, spikers-wise, malupet. Ang nagiging problema lang nila ngayon is the varaition of sets. The exit of Serafica damaged the team. And wala na rin si Segodine, khit ayaw ko sa kanya, I can't deny the fact na magaling siya. Though very unpredictable maglaro ang Adamson, sa tingin ko if they will double the hustle, pwede nilang makuha tong game na 'to. FEU on the other hand, has that 1% advntage over AdU. Vivas is stepping up, Daquis and Gonzalez impoved a LOT, Morada is in great shape except for the errors, but then madalas kapag pagod dumepensa ang Tamaraws naiisahan sila. But on the contrary, like UST, ang lakas ng comeback spirit ng FEU. Proven na yan sa DLSU-FEU match last December, down by two sets and almost lost the thrid set, the Tams won with a convinceing 4th and 5th set.
In this match I'd go for the Tams in 5 sets.

Wow, excited na ko dito sa double header na to, parang Clash of the Titans! Lahat bigatin, lahat contender! Kung magsestep-up and defense (blocking at floor d) ng Ateneo plus sina Cara Acevedo, Bea Pascual and Fille Cainglet malamang sila manalo. Pero wag iismolin ang UST kasi kung magaling at me sinasabi rookies ng Ateneo, ganun din ang Uste. Wag din kalilimutan ang winning tradition ng mga Tigresses! Ganun pa man ang fearless forecast ko ay ADMU in 4 sets based on how the Lady Eagles and the Tigresses played in their past games. Sa second game grabe matched na matched talaga ang AdU and FEU. Di ko masasabi kung sino me advantage. Basta kung sino na lang ang kumurap, yun ang matatalo. But personaly, I am rooting for my favorite team: AdU of course!
