in the women's side, Thailand, I believe is still the team to beat....Coming into the Laos SEA Games, they bring with them all their experiences in the international scene as they are regulars in the World Grand Prix, asian seniors, asian games.... In fact, during the 2007 Asian Seniors, the beat Korea, Kaz and Chi-Taipei and came in 3rd overall behind China(2nd) and Japan (1st). They still have their top players like Thinkaow Pleumjit (1.8M), Nootsara Tomkow (1.69M) and captain Wilavan Apinyapong (1.74M) Our Filipinas will have a grand time playing with them.... Other Laos participants to reckon with are the Indonesians and the Vietnamese....

^Ang laki ng improvement ng Vietnam grabe. Scary. I think 4th place is a very worthy and realistic goal for Team Pinas this coming SEA Games.

I think kung tutuloy lahat ng Fil-ams eh ipapasok ang 4 na yun so 2 Pinoy players na lang ang i-aadd to complete the first 6. Mind you, full of experiences ang apat na iyon plus the physical advantage (height). I foresee that the main challenge for the team would be playing as a unit. May issues pa dyan ng cohesion/jelling.

TAMA..... vital ang gelling ng isang team... in our case, sa september or october na yung asian seniors st sa december na yung sea games... napakaliit ng oras nila to be united unlike thailand na nakakapagmaintain ng core team... all of them must have the same mindset, to bring back the volleyball glory in our country, hindi naman nila gagawin to para sa sarilu lang nila, on top of that, this is for the country and it's volleyball community.... one goal lang dapat... sana maging ok ang relationship ng mga players sa isa't isa.... one word will be the key... teamwork...
