This will be my prediction for the standings:
adamson 6 1 - loosing only to feu, pasok pa rin kahit theyll loose to dlsu
la salle 5 2 - loosing to ust and adu (sure na pasok 2geder with adu)
baste 4 3 - loosing to adu, dlsu and ust (shaky performances)
feu 4 3 - loosing to dlsu, ateneo and lyceum
admu 3 4 - great team but will just fall short (Charo not too overpowering now)
lyceum 3 4 - boto's arrival was great but too late
ust 3 4 - Double B can't do all by themselves (Tan too inconsistent)
csb 0 7 - this slot should have been given to USLS
With Nerissa back and yet to show her monster kills and attacks, expect Adamson to lead the pack. But DLSU seems very strong and they can hold a lead as well. Great blocking from Alarca and Hernandez definitely. UST is too inconsistent esp. Denise Tan though id love to see them make a great comeback. Ateneo has rookies who play better than their old players. Just needs more experience. Baste seems unenthusiastic about this season but they might just have enough tricks to pull out from their hats. Lyceum should be in the top 4 had they got the services of Boto earlier. FEU might be too thingyy but they really play and dig well considering they're playing without guest players.
First two slots will surely be with DLSU and Adamson. The last two spots will be fought hard by Ateneo, Baste, UST and FEU. But statistically speaking, Lyceum still has a chance.

What will make these teams win?
Adamson - superb floor defense + quick attacks + excellent sets.
DLSU - impenetratable blocks + monster kills + great sets from Saet.
Baste - quick hits from Devandera + Roces' and Latigay's old form ++ (A MUST) Ancheta's sets
FEU - confidence that they can beat both Adamson and UST (which they have proven over
and over again) +++ Daquis-Gonzales-Morada attacks + confidence boost that they
can also beat Baste and DLSU
UST - Double B's regular (which is always excellent) play + (A MUST) Tan's consistent play +
all other players stepping up
Ateneo - Laborte's queen of the net attitude ++ Soriano's I-can-do-it-all attitude + confidence
boost for rookies - wag na papasukin sina Quimpo, Paje, Pascual at ibang old
players except Acevedo + Gabriel (bawasan ang make up) to dig more balls.
Lyceum - Boto's matakot-kayo-sa-aking-pagbabalik attitude + Cruz + Artates + Satsatin +
Gulliman + Babalo + Superb dela pena digs - wag nang magpapasok ng iba
CSB - new recruitment + real guest players

di pa sure ang ust for me. makakalaban pa nila ang feu, admu, ssc pati na ang lyceum, kaya for me di muna ako aasa, kasi baka mahirap na. pero go uste pa rin.
sure na tingin ko ang ssc, dlsu at adu. para sa akin po tama yung iba na silang tatlo maglalaban-laban para makuha ang kampeonato. yung feu at ateneo kasi ginagamit ito para pantraining din sa uaap kaya parang hindi sila malungkot kapag natatalo. sana ibigay na lang nila sa ust. haha. tutal last chance na naman na malakas, hanggat andiyan pa yung double b. yung ateneo at feu naman malakas pa naman sila in the future.

Bilog ang bola. maliitin daw ba ang UST? not because AdU defeated UST, it doesn't mean that they're on their way to the top. can't wait to see the Falcons being tormented by the Archers tomorrow. & as for FEU, it was a shocker to see them lose to LPU, what's the guarantee that they won't be losing to SSC or UST... hahaha... bilog ang bola... DLSU among other teams have the highest probability of bringing home the crown this season... but UST can pull a surprise comeback... |
