# Best Server - #7 Angela Benting, Adamson U Falcons
# Best Digger - #6 Lizlee Ann Gata, Adamson U Falcons
# Best Setter - #5 Janet Serafica, Adamson U Falcons
# Best Receiver - #5 Mary Jane Pepito, San Sebastian Stags
# Most Improved Player - #8 Ma. Rosario Soriano, Ateneo U Eagles
# Most Valuable Player - #11 Neriza Bautista, GP Adamson U Falcons
# Most Valuable Player, Finals* - Rissa Jane Laguilles, Adamson U Falcons

I am so confused as to how the Shakey's Management identify and decide whom to give the awards (aside from the obvious scoring winners), so here's my top picks this season:

Best Scorer: Latigay (she leads by at least 9 points to 2nd highest scorer Bernal...unless Latigay pulls off a bad game this Sunday, which i doubt, she has this award all for herself...which she deserves btw.)

Best Setter: Janet Serafica (no doubt) only 5 faults so far out of 526 running sets

Best Attacker: Devanadera / Balse / Latigay - based on their scores, the three are the top contenders. I'm not so sure which aspect they base their decisions but if it had to be success rate, it has to be Devanadera... But Latigay has the better number in terms of attempts...hmmm but then Shakey's always seem to give at least one award to MJ Balse (not questioning her wins at all coz she is truly deserving...)

But then again Bualee snatched this award with only very few games she played on (which i really found unfair) last season....can this be more unpredictable?

Best Blocker - Jaq Alarca - last season, they gave the award to a surprised Charo Soriano with a Bev Boto (and her fans) confused for she lead all the way in blocks... So I won't be surprised if they hmmm give it to Aiza Maizo...hehehe...

Best Server - Alarca or Serafica...but if they want to distribute the awards and not give dual awards to anyone unless with the name Charo ... then this award goes to anyone other than Alarca or Serafica hahaha...

Best Digger - Gata is synonymous to digs....it's hers...

Best Receiver - Hmmmm last year Gata still led the pack but MJ Pepito got this award... Gata should still receive this award but Shakey's loves Pepito so she'll get this one...

Most Improved Player - toss between Angela Benting and Steph Mercado. But it seems Mercado is more favored between the two...it doesn't help that she has Lydia de Vega as her mother...Yes, she well deserves it anyhow but Benting should be the rightful winner.

MVP: Latigay / Bautista or Benting / Bernal or Balse / Mercado or Alarca depends on who goes to the finals.

Finals MVP: If Adamson wins, I hope they give it to Serafica or Gata.
If Uste wins, Balse for me.
If DLSU, Alarca.
If Baste, Latigay without a doubt.

hala hahahah almost perfect.... Hinde ko yata napansin si Aizo na maraming service aces ah hmmmmmmmmm. It could have gone either way if they gave the Best Server to Alarca then the blocker would be with Maizo...she really then was a contender.

But I think yung sinabi ng host na winners were the ones with the highest percentage/success rate is definitely a wrong information because Maizo and MJ Pepito were not...

And bakit walang most improved player? Wala tuloy award si gelagela benting... hehehe...

i was totally flabbergasted when aiza maizo was announced as the best server..alarca was really the top contender in that category...i think na binigay kay maizo yung award kasi walang makukuhang individual award ang USTe pag si jacq uli ang best server. nakakahiya naman kasi kung walang makuha ang UST diba?? (aminin.) anyway, okay lang, may 4 service aces(ung nabilang ko ha) naman siya kanina..

and dapat talaga si lizlee ang best receiver...mj was one of the people na tinatarget ng ace eh...
but come to think of it, lizlee also committed many reception errors.

nakakainis, bawal ba magdouble award???
deserving nman sila sa awards na yun eh.,

unfair nga 'yung bawal 'yung multiple award this conference, pero last conference, ang daming awards ni charo. i am a big fan of aiza. pero alam kong kay alarca dapat 'yung award. vhen should have won the best scorer award. she was only 10 points behind louanne after the 2nd game. tapos she scored 19 points nu'ng 3rd semis game nila. it's not as if hindi part 'yung game three ng semis no.
