excited na rin ako to watch the girls play lalo na 'yung recruits and aiza and lillet's return.
di excuse na hindi maka-dive yung girls dahil sa height nila. jayson ramos of the ust mvt is an awesome defender both in the front and the back. si sabas ng usjr, tangkad din, pero maganda din depensa. miski si cindy velasquez ng csb. si ging galing din magdefend, kaso di na rin siguro kaya ng katawan niya.
so back to regular programing. hehehe

In Season 69 we had, well, a decent libero in the person of Che Balse.
After Che left, UST has rarely fielded a liber for long stretches in a game.
What did we have for that? A disastrous UAAP 70, while the top 2 finishers in Season 70 had great liberos in their team that has played extensively (Taganas and Gata).
All I'm saying is that having a libero would greatly help the team especially with the nucleus of the team standing at least 5'8" or so. That formula (having a libero) worked for us (and for most of the other teams), so why fix when it ain't broke in the first place?
The question probably would be:
Who would/should be UST-WVT's libero?

Kumbaga sa basketball ay live and die with the 3pt shot... sa UST live and die without a permanent libero. LOLS! Hehe!
Dapat lahat ay magtulungan sa pag-recieve hindi lang ang libero, tama si stonecold, everything starts with a good recieve.
Most outstanding recruit para sakin ng UST ay si Juday. All around player, malakas sa open at sa middle.

you know what... this might sounds just a little bit crazy but,
tabaquero could just be the new libero for ust.
for me she suits that category the best.
si kim kc at si michelle do not have the thinking of a usual libero, the one who goals for all balls.
ange is actually the best when it comes to digging in ust.
also kahit na mawala siya sa open pos nandyan naman si cu di ba.
tsaka sabi niyo merong recruit na strong open hitter ang uste
di ba maganda rin yun para habang maaga pa lang matrain na sila.
isa pa di ba ika ng sa reception nagsisimula lahat, it is better if they do get a good libero.
napagiiwanan sila ng ibang teams when it comes to having EXCELLENT not just GOOD liberos.
i personally think that they should ponder on this one.

especially if she complements a team such as UST who has a very offensive minded game,
but it would never change anything if the rest of the line-up has a hard time getting a RECEIVE or a DIG for that matter.
In my opinion, they should all pay a little more attention on floor defense. All players should be thought on the proper STANDS and techniques, as well as, the proper attitude...
Kasi if lahat iaasa sa LIBERO ay mahihirapan din siya eventually. Gaya ni PEpito..she is a prolific libero for BASTE but BAULEE, MONDEJAR, MIRASOL and DEVANADERA are not doing as well as she is when they are on the back row.
This is the Achilles Heel of UST...

Basta team effort na lahat ay magtutulungan sa pag-recieve. Kung naalala nyo nung Intercol, hindi nila ginamit ang libero nung semis game.
The rookies in the team A lineup are Jane Gonzales (setter/utility spiker), Micah Ortiz (middle blocker) and Judy Caballejo (open spiker/center spiker).
*Lilet is also included in the lineup. =)

Sa pagkakaalam ko ay hindi sasali UST sa National Open. Maglalaro yata si Lilet sa Air Force. Ganun din yung ibang UST-MVT ay maglalaro dun.
Wala na next year si Ate Ging, Vhen at Joey.
Hula ko sa first six ay: Ange, Rhea, Aiza, Lilet, Vida at Judy. Hehe!
Anyways, pang season 71st recruits ang thread, baka malayo. Hehe!
