^ baka based sa seniority ang pagiging team captain. Infairness kay Bea, sabi nila after an ACL injury either gagaling ka ng sobra or may konting regression sa laro mo. Acevedo may be suffering from sophomore jinx or totoo yung balita na may iniinda sya sa shoulders nya.

It will be a miracle for Ateneo to go back in the rankings if they continue to play this kind they had with AdU...not to mention only Acevedo mostly do the work..Soriano dont play her usual game na.. too many key factors to improve, receptions, services , services and blocks.. they should do something about this..few players wont pull the team out ..team effort ang kailangan nila now

nung 2nd set kaya magaganda ang kill nila is because of ferrer's set. medyo hindi din makalusot ang spike ni bautista kay laborte at acevedo kaya sila nakakaungos kaso ang kelangan ng ateneo is maging alerto sa mga "hulog" ng kalaban... dun sila nadiskartehan ng adamson kasi alam nilang magaling mag block si micmic...

from a good friend analysis about the game:
AdU vs. ADMU 3-1
The Good:
Adamson - Benting is even stronger than I remember - Soriano’s potential as a very good blocker in the near future - Good to see Bautista suiting up for Adamson once more - some good digs - glimpses of the shoot (sibat) set between Serafica and Laguilles on the outside, something they used to perfect to a tee a couple of years ago. They’re the only setter-attacker tandem that I’ve seen do that play
Ateneo - Ferrer getting better and better - Ho’s potential as a middle blocker/attacker. It was my first time to see her play as a full-time starter. There was one clean and powerful quick hit that made me go, wow, she has possibilities! She was a lot of help, too, in soft-blocking Benting and Bautista. - Acevedo’s unbelievable reactive saves on mishandled balls. You have to see her twists to believe it! - turning out to be a defensive team. Good digs actually abounded between both teams
The Bad:
Adamson - Not the immaculate defensive team I’ve grown to love. They were slow to dig a lot of times, and there were gaping holes in the floor defense. - Bautista was soft blocked often, even by the smaller blockers of Ateneo. She still seems out of sync with the team, both offensively and defensively. - Is it me, or does Laguilles seem to be a tad chubbier than last seen? - Quinlog(?) as the utility. Brrrrrr
Ateneo - Impatience, impatience, impatience. Especially from the rookies. But in fairness, at one point, there were 4 rookies on-court, and the oldest girls were Acevedo (sophomore) and Gabriel (junior?). And they were holding up really well against a more experienced and seasoned team like Adamson. - Lotsa errors. They could lessen ‘em. - Soriano was used as an outside hitter, but still wasn’t effectively putting the ball down. For that matter, most of the attackers had a hard time putting the ball down when it mattered.
The Verdict: The Falcons plucked the Eagles bald. But not without a major fight!

As I watched the replay of this game kanina, I noticed that Jem and Fille were not playing their game. Hehe. That's the reason actually why she had been compared to Kesinee when she was still playing the middle position on her highschool years. Actually, si Jem na din ang nagsabi sa akin kanina na may pagkadry nga sila ni Fille sa game na ito. Hehe. Sa Adamson naman, where's Segodine? I'm pretty sure she would have been a great help sa Lady Falcons nito. Hehe.

Pero, I think this is the best game na napanood ko sa conference na ito. Hehe. There were a lot of exciting long rallies. Hehe. Kudos to the Lady Eagles and the Lady Falcons.

two cents:
Over-all, a very exciting game, quite evenly matched, if not for some turn of luck, it could easily went the distance.
Fille Cainglet - continues to amaze me, even though, in my opinion, she's a lil off (compared to their last game); her hits are a bit softer, and some went a bit wider
Ferrer - same with Ferrer, as good/decent as she has played, she was way better the last game. Understandably, mejo predictable pa rin ung mga sets... but i don't blame her, looking at the defensive pattern, mejo kalat pa rin ang team after reception, as a result, there were no option for her but to set the ball to whoever is ready then;
Micmic - intimidation factor. nuff said.
Soriano - not the usual explosive Charo we used to see (maybe coz of the absence of Bello as setter) but still dependable (especially in a rookie-laden team as now)
Gretchen Ho - this is her welcome game. That one perfectly-executed quick hit speaks volumes on this girl's potential. Like the other rookie Cainglet, you can see na "may puso" din maglaro tong player na to. expect to see more of her in the coming games.
Bea Pascual - I still believe in this girl. Even though she seems to have trouble recovering from her injury, Ateneo needs her height and blocking skills. I've seen this girl play pre-injury, and di mo matatawaran ang sipag (talon ng talon a la Micmic); especially cum UAAP time with no micmic and charo around, Bea should and will deliver for the Ateneo team.
Gervacio - was absent in this game. unlike the previous ones where she truly shone, she should have been given more playing time
THINGS I wish to see in the coming games for Ateneo:
- defense becoming better and better... - Cainglet hitting the ball harder, more consistently, and a few variation... maybe practice the drop ball to confuse the blockers - Gretchen Ho quick plays! - more playing time for Acevedo - an all-around player - more sting on the jump serves from Ferrer, Gervacio, Cainglet?, Soriano... it would be interesting to see Ateneo as the best serving/jump-serving team.. - maybe throw in one or two combination plays...
I'm crossing my fingers... but from the way things are shaping up, it seems that:
CSB & Lyceum - are down and out
La Salle - is a shoo-in
Adamson, FEU - looking strong to take the 2nd and 3rd spot
San Sebastian, UST, with ADMU not far behind - will slug it out for the 4th semis spot
