A win is a win although I expected UST to terminate CSB in 3 sets. The third set was double B less and probably the preview of their roster on UAAP. Good UST rookies - Ortiz, Co. Congrats Vida for being the best player of the game!

The girls played well in the first two sets but got complacent in the third set.
Halatang nanibago sila sa bagong bola ng Mikasa kaya medyo nag-adjust pa sila.
Two of UST's rookies, Micah and Juday, also showed glimpses of that to expect from them.
Yung iba di pa gano naglaro para pagdating ng Unigames sa Dumaguete fresh sila.
Balita, nag video pa raw ang mga tiga DLSU ng laban. Scouting para makita laro ng USTe. Eh kaso kulang pa iyun eh.

UST VI wears down St. Benilde It took University of Santo Tomas four sets but the Tigresses still did it, toppling St. Benilde, 25-13, 25-17, 20-25, 25-16, to mark their return to the Shakey’s V-League 5 second conference at The Arena in San Juan yesterday. Aiza Mazo combined splendidly with guest player Mary Jean Balse as they scored 27 hits, including 23 kills, as the Tigresses dominated the first two sets, slowed down in the third but poured it out in the fourth prevail. "It’s nice to be back, although we are still trying to make some adjustments especially," said UST coach Cesael Delos Santos. "We played good in the first two sets especially on our set plays and defense." UST took a leave of absence in the first conference of the league sponsored by Shakey’s Pizza after winning three championships like La Salle, which also sat out the last tournament but has re-joined the league this conference. UST jumped the gun on St. Benilde early but the Lady Blazers, with power-hitter Giza Yumang ramming in 11 hits, regrouped in the third set and extended the match to another set. But the Tigresses re-stamped their class and finished off the Lady Blazers with timely hits and good reception in a big start to their bid for a fourth championship in the league organized by Sports Vision and backed by Active White skin whitening products, Mikasa and Accel. Alumna Venus Bernal, Maika Ortiz and Rica Gutierrez scored seven hits apiece for UST, while Raquel Ordoñez, Doreen Sanchez, Kara Agero and Cindy Velasco came up with six points each for St. Benilde. The UST-St. Benilde game will be telecast on NBN-4 starting at 2 p.m. today with replays to be shown on both Viva Prime Channel on Destiny Cable and Makisig Channel on Sky Cable. The Adamson-FEU match, still being played at presstime, will be aired tomorrow.

hi jhanine29... ust won because of the double BB. when venus and jing was taken out to give the rookies a chance to play in the third set they loss... it only means that ust, for now, dont have a strong line up yet...
congrats by the way to vida...i really love this girl, very down to earth... shes actually very good during season 69 but shes always underrated...

pero galing ni mulingtapang at nakakadig siya ha..
but double b is way powerful to be stopped.
