Top Three Ateneo, UST and SSC against 1 guest player policy

After talking with some of the players of the top three teams last V-League. A lot of them are not keen on joining the tournament because of the 1 guest player policy. I don’t know the reason why but I have an interpretation that it would be less exciting for them if ever teams would only have just 1 guest player.

I also was told that these teams might not even join the tournament anymore if the board will not reconsider the decision about the number of guest players. Remember that Ateneo, UST and SSC are three teams with great following. Taking these three out of the tournament can not only lessen the revenue of the tickets but also the excitement itself of the league.

I just hope the board reconsiders this decision. Come to think of it, it will not only gain more popularity but it might also improve the level of volleyball we have here in our country.

Ang alam ko sa spoilers thread, base on facts pa rin dapat ang mga nakapost o binabato natin na information. Parang lets say spoiler threads sa WWE, nakapost na dun ang mga result ng matches in some of the pay-per-views na naka slate for a given week or month.

Kung base on hearsay lang ang ilalagay natin, sana ang title na lang ng thread na ito eh "tsimis thread" para mas bagay diba?

If you may recall, may other thread tayo for V League Season 5. I closed that kasi wala pa namang malinaw na news and complete line up ng bawat teams. And dahil madaming naglabasan na news sa wikipedia and from other sites, na alam naman natin na walang basehan, I created this spoiler's thread para lahat ng chismis eh confined lang sa isang thread. Parang basher's room, lahat ng bashings eh confined lang doon.

And that is my interpretation sa phrase na "spoiler's thread". Lahat ng mga posibleng mangyari, chismis man ito o hindi, ito ay dapat na naka contain sa isang thread lang.

I will open the official thread for V League Season 5 kapag may concrete draft na ang V League management. Pero sa ngayon, lahat ng mga balita sa ibang volleyball sites at wikipedia ay mga chismis pa lang.

I got this idea sa mga forums na member ako like sa american idol. Bago nilalabas yung resulta eh nandun na sa spoiler's thread ng forum nila. Tapos lahat ng mga insiders reports eh nandun. Lahat din ng mga kakantahin ng mga idols eh pinopost doon.

The board should better reconsider kung ayaw nila langawin ang susunod na V-League.

siguradong lalangawin ang vleague pag walang UST team dahil kahit na ideny ng iba UST parin ang pinakamaraming fans.....actually according to some reliable source kung di daw binago ang policy baka pati SSC team mag baback out na rin............but this is not sure......

is there a rule in v-league ba prohibiting former players to play as regulars? kasi kung si rubie de leon (?) guest player diba. then other schools might as well do that too.

and it sounded like they threatened the v-league committee by NOT joining this season kung di payagan yung dalawang yun? 'power' of school ba tawag diyan. it would also be a great loss for them kung di man sila sumali especially to the students and players of their school.

it just didn't sound right.

Iba naman ang case nina Manilla Santos at Charleen Cruz kay Ruby de Leon...

Ruby de Leon is already an Alumna of UST for a long time... On the other hand, Manilla Santos and Charleen Cruz are still students of La Salle until now... Manilla Santos is pursuing her Master's Degree while Charleen is just a third year college student...

The real scenario is : DLSU is lobbying for the entrance of Manilla Santos and Charleen Cruz as regular players and not as guest players because they are still part of the team and just took a leave of absence for this season... Charleen Cruz focused on her studies while Manilla Santos is recovering from a shoulder operation... There is a new rule kasi that only players who were included in the line-up of the recent season of their mother leagues (in DLSU's case it's UAAP Season 70) will be allowed to play in V-League...

Same scenario occurs for UST who is also lobbying for the entrance of Aiza Maizo and Vida Rica Gutierrez who both sat out in the recent UAAP Season 70 to focus on their studies....

mas kawalan ng vleague pag UST ang hindi sumali dahil nun time na di sumali ang UST sa vleague..... that was season 3? nilangaw talaga ang vleague....kasi mas may excitement pag may UST siguro un ang hindi narerealize ng mga board ng vleague sa totoo lang di naman masyadong mahirap ang pakiusap ng UST.....gusto lang nilang paglaruin si maizo and gutierrez.

If you're pertaining to Manilla Santos' 5th playing year in the UAAP, hindi pa tapos yun... She has only used 3 of her playing years kaya may 2 remaining playing years pa siya...
