MANILA, Philippines - The Adamson Lady Falcons defeated the St. Benilde Lady Blazers (25-21, 25-20, 25-22) on Tuesday to move within a win of completing a 10-game sweep of the eliminations at Shakey's V-League Season 5 at The Arena in San Juan.
The match gave the Falcons their ninth win and the Blazers their ninth defeat.
The win also gives the Falcons a three-week break, along with the San Sebastian Lady Stags, for having clinched a semis berth.
But all is not lost for the Lady Blazers who could still make the most of the quarterfinals.
As expected, the Falcons relied on Rizza Laguilles, who made 12 kills, while guest player Neriza Bautista put in 11, as the Falcons outhit the Blazers' top two spikers – Giza Yumang and Cindy Velasquez, who combined for 12 attacks.
The quarterfinals, which starts on Sundays, will feature Ateneo, Lyceum, Far Eastern Univeristy, and the College of St. Benilde.
Two provincial teams – the University of San Jose-Recoletos and the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod – will joini the hunt for the other two semis berths.
Adamson and San Sebastian will be joined by the top two finishers in the single roundrobin quartersfinals. - GMANews.TV

I don't think Ateneo is a title-contender for this conference.
Anyway, If Ateneo will have a new import surely mananalo sila dito sa laban na ito. Pero kung locals lang nila, Lyceum can surely defeat them.
