MANILA, Philippines - Adamson University booked the first semifinals spot when it pulled a 30-32, 21-25, 25-16, 25-21, 16-14, triumph over Ateneo de Manila University on Sunday during the continuation of the elimination action of the Shakey's V-League Season 5 at The Arena in San Juan.
Michelle Segodine's strong kill broke the 14-all tie in the deciding set, inspiring her teammates to complete the come-from-behind triumph and ending the two-hour encounter.
The Lady Eagles were in control of the first two sets before failing at the Falcons' power game.
With the defeat, the Eagles absorbed their third defeat in six matches.
Earlier, Lyceum defeated Far Eastern U also in five sets, 25-17, 16-25, 20-25, 25-20, 16-14, for its third triumph in six games.

Wow! kung nagkataon, ateneo yung unang nakatalo sa Adamson!Know the other teams know that adamson is beatable. Diba da nacalaro sa Ms. So dahil sa ACL injury, pati na din mga next games di na din sya makakalaro? I guess medyo nagudjust sila sa pagkawala ni Captain So! kaabang abang ang game nila with ateneo..  |
